Ace sat down with his new friends, and set his books on the table.
"Go get food, once you come back, we'll teach you the social side of this school."
He sat up, and went to the first lunch line there and got his food. After returning to his table, Patrick and Steven got closer to him.
"We have to keep quiet about this." Said Steven. "They don't want us teaching the newbies about them."
"Who is they?" Ace asked.
"The classes. They're different kinds of personalities and people who fit into select categories."
Ace looked around and identified most of them pretty easily.
"They are easily noticeable with the clothes it seems..." he thought to himself.
Jocks, Nerds, Weebs, Intelligents, averages, wannabes, popular girls, it was all there. Every type of personality in school was there. Ace hovered his eyes over the popular girls. At least 16-18 of them. Only one to him stood out.
Tall girl, blonde. Looking like the most basic white girl possible. Forestfall Dark-red sweater with an orange scarf, White skinny jeans and ugg boots.
"Who. Is. That." Ace said as he stared in awe.
"She's been the most popular one of that group. She came her last year from a School out in Indiana. No one knows her last name, but her first name is 'Hannah'"
As Patrick finished his sentence, she turned around and noticed the three looking at her.
All three guys turned their heads back to each other.
Ace thought for a moment.
"She's hiding something. Something that If found out, she'd disappear, or something terrible would happen to her."
Steven looked at him confused.
"Now what would make you think that?" He asked.
Ace sat there, peeked back towards her, and looked back.
"Look at her, she's nearly perfect. Perfect hair, body, clothes. I say 'nearly' because I don't know her personality."
The three sat and thought for a moment, till the jocks stood up, at least 14 of them, all to the Popular Girls.
Ace rolled his eyes and realizing what was happening.
"This has to be some cheesy storyline. The jocks with the popular girls?"
Patrick shook his head.
"The jocks may be the 'best' class because of their overall achievements, but they're one of the most disliked class in this entire school."
Ace looked back at the two classes mixed, and realized what was happening. Since they were nearby, the heard into the not-so-quiet conversation.
"Yo Hannah, you down to go Prom this weekend? I can drive you in my jacked up truck."
Hannah rolled her eyes.
"Get out of here Brandon. We all know that the truck is your dad's anyway."
The popular girls and even some of the jocks went "oooooooohhh"
"So what if it is my dad's? At least I can still drive it! Cmon, what do ya say? Prom, then a movie afterwords?"
Hannah backed up, as three guys started stepping towards her.
Ace stood up from the seat, but Patrick grabbed his arm. "Dude what are you doing? They'll annihilate you if you try anything!"
Ace ripped his arm away. "I'm the new kid, they have no idea what I am capable of." And he ran towards them.
Hannah and the three guys looked over to see Ace running towards them, then in between them and Hannah.
"She roasted your ass and denied you, yet you still persist? How thirsty are you?!" Ace yelled.
The entire cafeteria went quiet, and everyone turned to look at the commotion.
Ace stood with a determined look towards the three guys, who surprisingly only stood 2-3 inches taller than Ace. "What's up with you kid? Think you're going to get with her?" One of them spoke up.
"No, but I DO know at least how to treat some people with more respect than to try and brag your way into a relationship."
Ace stopped, and thought about what he had just said. Some stood back, eyes wide open. The leader, Brandon, readied his fist, getting ready to take the first swing, but two teachers cane running in to break it up.
"All of you, to class, NOW."
The head principle, Principle Chris, said towards the majority. He kept the three most obvious suspects behind. Hannah, Ace, and Brandon.
"Now what was that all about?"
He asked.
None of the three said a word.
"Answer Me."
Principle Chris said, in a more sterner voice.
"Just getting to know some people, and it got loud because it was hard to hear. Our apologies."
Ace, finally speaking.
After a short time of thinking, the Principle said,
"Is this the truth?" And looked at the other two, who were shaking their heads 'Yes'
"Alright, now I don't need the yelling in an already chaotic room. Keep it down."
The three nodded and let the Principle. Brandon grabbed his stuff and left immediately.
Hannah and Ace, were the only two left. "Wanna walk with me? My class is only a little down the hall." Asked Hannah.
Ace nodded and started walking out the door with her.
"Thanks for the assist back there. I'm tired of Brandon and his stupid friends. I know what they want with me, and they aren't getting it anytime soon."
Ace looked over at her and smiled.
"What? What's so funny?" She asked.
"Nothing, just thinking. This happened a lot in my old school, I was just never the one doing anything."
"So that's why you helped me...."
Ace nodded after her comment.
"After school, meet me near the auditorium. We need to talk real quick about something."
She ended her sentence quickly and walked into her class and Ace kept walking.
As he was nearing his class, he had only one thought on his mind.
What did I just get myself into?
