"Nnn..." Sly mumbled as his heavy eyes slowly slipped open.
He blinked a few times to clear his vision before pushing himself to sit up, rubbing his eyes and letting out a long yawn. It was then he glanced over and couldn't help the grin that graced his face when he noticed his lovely fox still slumbering away next to him. Sly leaned forward, lightly kissing her forehead before placing a hand on her arm, gently beginning to shake her awake.
"Rae, honey... It's time to wake up..." He cooed softly.
"Mmm..." The fox mumbled. She stretched her tired body, only to find it rather sore, before her eyes finally slid open, a grinning raccoon in her line of sight. Rae then gave a tired grin. "Morning..." She greeted tiredly.
"Good morning to you too, my love. Did you sleep well?"
"Mm-hmm..." She nodded. "How about you?"
"I did, thank you."
Rae yawned, pushing herself to sit up while holding the covers over her bare chest. The fox then leaned against Sly's shoulder, taking in his scent. "Love you..." She then said.
Sly chuckled. "I love you too. However, I think it's about time we took a shower, wouldn't you agree?"
Rae glanced under the covers, blushing a bit as she nodded. "I couldn't agree more, actually..."
The raccoon chuckled again. "Come on then, let's get cleaned up." He said, climbing out of bed.
Rae gave another nod, but when she tried to climb out of the bed with Sly, she winced in pain. "Aah!" The fox cried out, gripping her back.
"Huh?" Sly glanced back at Rae, a bit worried. "Hey, what's the matter? Aren't you coming?"
"Yeah, but...my back, and my legs, they really hurt..."
"Ah, shit..." Sly cursed. "Damn, I was too rough with you again, wasn't I? I'm really sorry, Rae... I promise, I'll be more gentle next time." He apologized, but Rae shook her head
"No, it's okay. Don't worry, I'll be fine. Can you just help me up?"
Sly nodded, reaching over as he aided his hurt fox out of bed, guiding her toward the bathroom. "I'm really sorry..." The raccoon apologized again.
"I said it's okay, Sly. Please, don't worry. I promise, I'll be alright, I'm just gonna be sore for a little while, that's all. And besides, I enjoyed last night, so in the end, a little pain like this never hurt anyone."
"I know, but--"
"No buts. I said I'm alright, and I meant it. Come on, sweetie, don't go beating yourself up now. It's fine, I swear."
Sly sighed in defeat. "Alright, if you say so."
Rae grinned. "Good."
Once in the bathroom, Sly grabbed a towel, and wrapped it around Rae before having her sit down. "Just sit here for a minute while I get the water going, okay?"
She nodded as Sly went and turned the shower on, grabbing a couple more towels while the water was heating up. Once it was warm enough though, Sly helped Rae into the shower, the two deciding to just bathe together, mostly so Sly could support Rae since she was hurting.
"Urgh! Ouch!" Sly suddenly winced when his back hit the water.
"Hm? Hey, what's the matter?" Rae asked curiously.
"My back, it just hurts for some reason."
"Turn around and I'll take a look."
Sly nodded before turning around, however, when he did, all he heard was Rae gasp. "Ugh!?"
