"Do it, you two. This place was built for the both of you. We'll hold down the fort here." Bentley said before Sly and Rae head on into the vault on their own.
Once they were gone, Bentley and Murray went to the outer edges of the large, circular area they ended up in. "This is going to be the payday of all time!" Murray then said excitedly. "Think of all the loot piled up back there!"
"Hey, do you ever feel like you're playing second fiddle to Sly?" Bentley then asked, Murray a bit confused. "You know, like he treats us as sidekicks?"
"No way! Sly's cool!" Murray replied. "We're all in this together, right?"
"Sure, we're all here, but are we equal? Who went into the vault? Sly and Rae, by themselves."
"Hey, watch out!" The hippo then shouted, Bentley hopping across to one of the strange looking, dog-like statue surrounding the area as Murray suckerpunched one of Dr. M's goons, knocking them into the abyss.
"Dr. M's goons!?" Bentley exclaimed. "They must've forced the door after we opened the lock!"
"Look, think of it this way, Bentley: If it were you in that vault and the rest of us were out here, what would Sly and Rae do?"
"Stop these thugs, and protect their friends." He replied, realizing Murray was actually right for once.
"Right, and that's what I'm gonna do." Murray said. "Now, keep your head down and stay clear. I'm gonna smash a lot of skulls and I don't want yours to be one of 'em!" The hippo then turned, slamming his fist against his palm with a raring-to-go smirk. "Come and get it, maggots!"
Murray then let loose, punching and kicking every single one of Dr. M's goons that came his way. His fists hit each mutated, snake creature in the face, and his feet kicked wherever they landed in the heat of the moment. Murray didn't care. In fact, he was actually enjoying this, enjoying letting some steam off. "I have been waiting to do this since we got here!!" He bellowed. "You jerks work for that stupid monkey, and he hurt my best friends!! Now I'm gonna take all my anger out on your heads!!"
Punch left, kick right, and let's just throw one of them into each other just for good measure. Murray just did not care. He was actually smiling as he knocked those goons out and threw them into the abyss because he needed to let out some of that pent up rage, and he took this chance to utilize it to the fullest. Murray was actually having fun dodging the weird mutated creatures, only to then retaliate a moment later. However, despite how much fun Murray may have been having, it seemed like the swarm was slowly diminishing, which meant that less and less of Dr. M's goons were coming in.
"These look like the last few, Murray! No more of them are coming in!" Bentley called out to him.
Murray just laughed. "Aww, and I was just starting to have fun too!" He said, pretending to sound disappointed as he took out the remainder of Dr. M's goons. "Yeah!! You're all knocked down, and 'The Murray' stands tall, like a freakin' totem pole of strongism!" He bellowed as Bentley came back into the main circle.
Suddenly though, Dr. M himself came down to confront the two, seeming a bit surprised at Murray's strength. "Ah, Murray, you're much stronger than McSweeny ever was."
"That's right, plug head! I'm like a semi-truck with its brakes cut!"
"I don't have time to get into a screaming match with a caveman like yourself."
"Then try locking horns with me." Bentley spoke up. "I think you'll find that I'm a better match."
"I have no fight with you, Bentley, for you and I are the same."
