Bentley head out for his mission, determination in his eyes behind his wide framed glasses. When he finally located his target, the turtle pulled out his binocucom, trying to contact someone, until he finally got ahold of the fox herself, Rae.
"You're insane, I just want you to know that..." She said.
"That is quite the feral specimen of Lupus Gigantormus."
"Okay, so let me just see if I got this right again: So you plan on stalking that thing, drugging it, putting the Guru on board, and setting the two free to smash up the guards?"
"An air tight plan, I agree, it's simplicity itself."
"Air tig--are you out of your mind!? This plan in itself is just madness!"
"Possibly, but by channeling the wild destruction housed in that bloodthirsty creature, we should be able to thin out the Black Baron's ranks, which of course, means fewer pilots flying against you and Sly in the finals."
"Okay, sure, I'm all for evening the odds in our favor, but come on, Bentley, this plan seems a little...risky."
"Not at all. I've modified my sleep darts with heavy doses of Skunk Balm. It should be enough to pacify the beast, provided he doesn't catch wind of me first."
"Alright, well that doesn't sound too bad... You can hang back and shoot him at a distance."
"Uhh, well..."
"Oh God, no..."
"Um, given the weight of the darts, I'll need to sneak up, behind him, and take a shot within a few...meters."
"Meters!? Oh my God, now I'm convinced that you wanna die!"
"Quit trying to freak me out and put the Guru on the binocucom!"
"Hey, you're doing that all on your own, but whatever..." Rae then disconnected, switching to the Guru.
"Okay, after I put the wolf to sleep, it'll be up to you."
"Fahala, houjah."
"Thanks, Guru. You always know just what to say." Bentley then disconnected.
After stuffing the device away, Bentley swallowed hard before wheeling himself forward. He spotted Lupus, beginning to slowly move closer to him. When Bentley found he was close enough, but not too close to where the wolf would smell him, he quickly fired one of his darts. With that, the wolf roared in response, turning to the source with a vicious look in its eyes.
"Now would be a good time to start moving, Bentley!" Rae said.
"I'm going!" Bentley replied, wheeling away as fast as he could. When Lupus could no longer smell him, the turtle sighed, panting a bit. "That certainly gets your adrenaline going..."
"Hey, you asked for this..."
"Yes, I'm well aware, no need to remind me..." Bentley then went to go find Lupus again.
He continued to stalk the wolf, nailing it with his modified darts, and running away after each one to avoid getting caught and mauled by that vicious beast. There were a couple of close calls, having almost getting caught from not reacting fast enough, but even through all of that, with the final dart being fired at the wolf, he managed to get away without getting maimed. As soon as Bentley sent off the final dart at Lupus, he began to go wild, barking and howling uncontrollably while running around wildly.
"Nice work, Big Game Hunter, looks like your Skunk Balm is finally taking effect; he's about ready to crash." Rae commented.
With that, Bentley let out a relieved sigh, feeling worn out, mostly due to the adrenaline rushes and being chased by a wolf three times bigger than himself. "Well, that certainly was mildly horrifying..."
