Hiccup's army celebrated that night, though he forbid any mead or alcohol, he needed his army to have a clear head for the final battle. Both Bewilderbeast spat out mountain fulls of fish for the dragons in Hiccup's disposal, Toothless licked his lips hungrily at the sight and looked up at Hiccup for permission, Hiccup nodded and the Night Fury ran to get his fill of fish.

Hiccup entered his war tent where he was greeted by all of the Viking leaders, their second in commands or heirs, Eret and his crew, then Hiccup's riders. Hiccup placed the map of Drago's fortress on the table and everyone gathered. "Drago and his army have already fortified their position, they still hold the advantage of numbers: both man and armored dragons, including Flyers. Mammoth tells me he'll try and order Drago's dragons to join us, but they've been under that madman's abuse and torture for so long, that they may not come, all we can do is pray that they do."

Fishlegs shook his head in disgust. "We need to finish this as soon as possible Hiccup, we've seen what lengths Drago will do to gain and secure his power, what if he's sent Flyers to Mammoths nest and find the egg?" Everyone hummed in agreement and turned to the young Viking, Hiccup had not thought of that until now, he nodded and looked at his friends.

"Alright Fishlegs, Asbjorn, Ruff, Tuff, and Heather, head back to Berk and protect the egg, if Drago has sent anyone to steal it, deal with them." The group nodded and exit the tent, Hiccup then turned his attention to Viking allies. "Now, I will lead my swarm riders and both Bewilderbeast to the front gate." Hiccup looked at Alvin. "Alvin, you and your Outcast will bombard them will catapults, arrows and ballistas, we need to thin the herd." The Outcast Chieftain nodded and chuckled lightly. "As much as I'd love to lead my men to the front lines, I'm more than happy to cause these foreigners pain." Hiccup nodded and turned toward the Meatheads.

"Mogadon, you and your men stay close to us behind the Bewilderbeasts, once they bring that gate down, do what you do best." The Meathead Chieftain grunted and smirked. "Gladly." Hiccup turned to the Bogs and shared a warm smile with Cami. "Cami, you want to help me try and snatch the Foreverwing from Drago's grasp?" The Bog heir playfully punched her friend and grinned. "Sounds like fun, count me in." Hiccup smiled and nodded, then spoke to Bertha.

"Bertha, you and your warriors will join Mogadon and his warriors, after Alvin and his Outcast finished bombardment, Drago's men will be scattered and we'll seize the advantage and kill as many of them as we can." Bertha nodded in understanding, Hiccup turned to Atali. "You and your Wing Maidens will provide additional air support, if there's any chance you can help free any enslaved dragons..." Atali nodded and gestures to her women. "Me and my Maidens will free any dragon we come across Hiccup, I promise." Hiccup thanked her and finally turned to Eret.

"Eret, I need you and crew to deal with Drago's Roman Flyers, whatever deal Drago made to Cato, I know damn well he'll not honor that deal." Eret hummed and nodded. "Understood." Hiccup nodded and looked at everyone in the tent. "You'll all be part of Greater Berk once we win this war. But until such a day, focus on the battle to come, and we will become legend!" Everyone grunted in acknowledgement and Hiccup dismisses the meeting.

As Hiccup exited the tent, a rider approached him and bowed their head and handed a parchment to Hiccup. "It's a message from Stoick the Vast Dragon Master, but he's dead." Hiccup didn't know if this was Drago or someone else trying to lure him. "Thank you, I'll handle this." The rider bowed before leaving Hiccup alone, Hiccup whistled and in seconds, Toothless appeared. "C'mon bud, we're going to see who sent us this message." Toothless sniffed the message and growled, Hiccup raised an eyebrow and asked. "Toothless? You recognize the scent." Toothless nodded and spoke via telepathy.

::I thought him dead. You're not going to like it::

(Snow mountains)

Hiccup and Toothless landed on near a cliff that overlooked their camp and walked around, the snow crunches under their footsteps, that's when Toothless spotted a small snowy rock that had a Maces and Talons game piece on it. Toothless growled, Hiccup glared at the game piece and then he heard a voice he'd never thought he'd hear again.

"The accomplice..." The duo turned to see their thought to be dead foe. Viggo Grimborn. The left side of the mans face was heavily scared, and it caused Hiccup to cringe in disgust. "...one of the most important pieces in all of Maces and Talons, allowing a player to use an opponents piece for their own ends. You can certainly win without it, but with it? You can achieve total victory." The duo got in a battle stance, Toothless readied a plasma blast and Hiccup drew Inferno out.

Viggo held his hands out. "Stand down! I don't want to fight." Hiccup scoffed and shot back. "Oh yeah? You should've thought of that before you aided Dagur and his equally insane cousin to attack my home, just to steal back the Dragon Eye." Viggo shrugged and replied back. "It does belong to my tribe after all, if you hadn't stole it, there would've been no reason for us to attack and my brother would still be alive." He said with a hint of sadness, due to the fact that Ryker did indeed meet his demise that day.

Hiccup growled in annoyance, his patience growing thin. "What do you want Viggo?" Viggo stepped up and answered. "I wish to aid you and end Drago's rampage." Hiccup chuckled in disbelief. "Really? Then why do I have this nagging feeling that once Drago is out of the picture you'll stab be in the back?" Toothless growled, obviously not believing Viggo too.

"Hiccup, I'm strictly a business man, I have no desire to rule the world like Drago. Me and my brother were in his employ to secure him the rarest dragons there were, our relationship was strictly professional, no more no less." Hiccup's gaze softened as Viggo continued. "As far as I'm worried, Drago killed my brother and exhausted my resources, gold, men and ships." Viggo stroked his beard and then grazed the left side of his scared face and winced at the still tender side of his face. "All I want is Drago dead, and I wish to aid you, I promise, I will not betray you, the man has caused us both injury, I simply wish to return the bitter favor." He said with a tone that told the young dragon rider he wanted payback, Hiccup groaned, he seriously hoped he wouldn't regret this.

"Alright, so what's your plan?"

(Minutes later)

Viggo led Hiccup and Toothless to a higher peak up the mountain, they heard lightning clapping in the distance, and a snow storm approached. "Stop here!" Viggo said over the storm, once Hiccup and Toothless landed, Viggo slid off the Night Fury he drew out a dagger. "Viggo what the hell are we doing here?" Hiccup yelled out over the storm, Viggo walked a little further until he responded. "In ancient times the Singetail was one the most feared dragons. However there was one dragon whose powerful blast could neutralize the Singetail's fire." Viggo held the dagger up and lightning struck the weapon, causing Hiccup and Toothless to look away from its bright light.

"Meet our accomplice Hiccup, the Singetail's only predator... the Skrill." The ferocious dragon had lighting surging off its body, and it roared toward them, Hiccup noticed this was the same Skrill Dagur rode, though thankfully the crazed Berserker seemed to have met his end too. "Are you insane?! If you think I'm going to help you torture this dragon for your revenge, then you've got another thing coming." Hiccup yelled out, Toothless was about to fire a plasma bolt but Viggo stepped in front of the Night Fury.

"Do not fire!" Viggo barked out, he then slowly waved the dagger, the Skrill followed the movement. "Berserkers used metal daggers to lure Skrills into traps, the dragon is drawn to this due its electrical properties." The Skrill moves closer and closer until Viggo slowly put the dagger down placed his hand on the Skrills snout. "We are not enemies." The Skrill purred softly, as it looked Viggo in the eyes. "There's no way I'd torture this dragon." The Skrill relaxed and accepted Viggo's bond.

"Whoa, there's something you don't see everyday." Hiccup murmured to himself, Viggo turned around smirked, he then responded. "I don't expect you to forgive me, I'm responsible for my actions, putting the lives of your people in danger for the Dragon Eye, but I'm ready to redeem myself, for the dragons and people I've killed by ending Drago once and for all." Hiccup nodded and approached Viggo.

"Let's finish this war."
