P.S, this morning I helped my dad save a blind raccoon out from the middle of the road... well, actually, I just watched from a distance, but we sent it into the woods!!! Then, it came back cause it didn't know where the heck it was going... might find a dead raccoon later...

Anyways, ENJOYYYYYYY

Soundwave felt his optic twitch. A small movement that was soon to drive him crazy. He stood still in front of yet a few more operation panels, checking the security and searching for more energon signatures. No other bot or vehicon stood in the room with him. The silent mech was alone to work and think over certain things he never before thought he would ever think about.

He often didn't retire to his berthroom until late at night, but still took a quick recharge. For the past few days, though, he couldn't sleep a wink.

"Daddy's got you now."

For some reason that sentence grabbed at his spark and squeezed. The communications officer wasn't sure who the fleshy had been, but the sight of him had sent fear through him. It was the same dream every night.

Soundwaves optic twitched again at the very thought of it. The very little amount of recharge he had was being taken away from him with chilling nightmares that didn't even make sense to him. Thoughts that didn't seem to be his own raced through his healm every night as he attempted to find a hiding spot under that berth.

He didn't want to hide like a coward. In fact, curiosity was getting the better of him and he wondered who had been fighting beyond that door to the berthroom he hid in.

"Daddy's got you now."

He shakes his healm and decided to busy himself with watching over the vehicons mining a few hours away. Lazerbeak was keeping watch wherever the soldiers went, making sure none would keep a portion of the spoils for themselves. And also, to keep an eye out for Starscream.

The seeker was now a lost cause. Megatron moved on and didn't even bother to question Soundwave about the mechs disappearance. But Soundwave still searched. Something didn't feel right in his spark, and he couldn't just stop looking. Megatron gave him a job to do, and even if he no longer required his assistance in the matter, Soundwave would make sure the job was finished.

Failure was not an option.

A few hours passed and the silent mech never once moved from his position at the panels. He hadn't even moved an inch. With strained optics he glared at that screen in front of him. And then suddenly, something happened.

An energon signal.

Starscreams energon signal. Somewhere along the border of Montana and Wyoming. But why now? Soundwave pondered the question for a few moments when suddenly, another signature popped up. This one was much stronger than the last, but was impossible to read.

Decepticon or Autobot?

Frowning slightly, Soundwave silently vented before stepping away from his work and opening the groundbridge. Without hesitation, he was stepping through, and leaving the other decepticons behind to wonder where he had gone.

Lynlee was silent as she stood staring at the grave in front of her. The funeral had ended some hours earlier, and then the small group of family and friends the young girl barely knew traveled towards the cemetery. That was when they buried her mother six feet under the ground.

No one bothered with kind words or apologies- very few words could make her feel whole inside again. It just wasn't possible. The only person who loved and understood her was now dead- taken away without so much as a goodbye.

After Mrs. King had passed away, her body was taken away to be prepared for the funeral and then Lynlee was left alone at her home until an entire week later, when some 'great aunt' called to announce she was paying for everything. The funeral had a date, and now Lynlee was here. Crying like a baby as she just stared at a fresh mound of dirt.

She didn't know what was about to happen. Everything that day had most definitely been a blur, and now she could see nothing else but the tombstone. Dark circles sat under her eyes and she blinked, straining to keep her tired eyes open.

Not only was she not getting any sleep, but nightmares plagued her every night. It was always the same. A large robot dying in a pit filled with horrid little monsters. Lynlee rubbed her arm, feeling goosebumps. The dreams were so random, and strange. Nothing she could piece together or understand.

Biting her lip, she pushed a strand of black hair away from her face and took a deep breath. Everyone else was gone, and now it was time to say goodbye.

Forever.

"Hey, mom." she tried to keep her voice strong, "I'm so sorry this had to happen to you. You said that this was coming, and I was to stubborn to see that you were right. I didn't want to tell myself I would be alone. But now I am..."

Lynlee's voice quivered, and her crystal glowed ever so slightly. Without much thought, she reached her hand up and grasped the tiny object in her hand. It was warm, but everything was such a blur, she wondered if she was just imagining it.

"I love you so, so much mommy. I miss you already, and It's going to be hell trying to live without you, but thank you for being there for me when times got rough. For being the strong women you were and sticking around even when I was weak." Lynlee almost laughed at the thought, feeling guilty now, "I act as if everything is about me, mom. Like my life was so terrible, when really it wasn't. You were right there with me the entire time, and now..."

Lynlee swallowed the lump in her throat and took a shaky breath, tears running down her face as the pain was beginning to swallow her hole. "Now you're gone. But I will never forget you. I love you, mom. Goodbye."

Her crystal glowed brightly, and Lynlee glanced down at it for a moment before stepping forward and dropping the rose in her hand. A white rose. It had been her moms favorite. The necklace glowed brighter, and then she smiled slightly.

"I'll keep your necklace safe. Thank you for giving it to me. I hope it gives me as much luck as it did you."

A slight breeze pushed past the girl, taking a large amount of her hair and pushing the strands all around her face. She huffed, removing her hands from the crystal and pushing the strands away. Then she wiped away her drying tears and sniffed, making a small smile.

"Bye, mom."

Now she would be heading back. Everything would feel empty now that her mom was gone. But Lynlee knew she couldn't move away. All of her memories, good and bad, were at that house and even thought she would be alone now, it was home.

With a sigh she turned around, hugging her middle and wiping away another tear. Before she could even take a step, a dark shadow covered the ground, completely covering her.  When the small girl glanced up, she jumped in fright and felt fear run down her spine as she finally noticed the giant cybertronian standing before her.

A scream escaped Lynlee's throat as a hand reached down to grab her.
