It was almost like a ball of fire, the way it was gleaming and shooting towards the earth. Unlike a shooting star, it didn't just come and go, disappearing into the night.

The small object shot out of the sky and leveled with the ground before shooting through the trees and racing towards the small cabin. Lynlee gasped and hurried to slide her window back open. By the time she stepped back onto the roof, the thing flew above her house and continued on towards the meadow behind her house.

"What was that thing?" She asked herself. Biting her lip, she hugged herself in the cold nights air before climbing back inside and getting her shoes on. Lynlee was determined to find out what it was.

Back in the cave, the silent Cybertronian walked farther into the cave. It hadn't taken long for Soundwave to find the energon vein. A rather large amount, to be precise. Yet that strange signal was still there- messing up his senses and drawing him farther into the darkness.

The energon he was searching for was in a much smaller amount, but was strong enough to emit a signal for the Decepticons to find. And the Autobots would come to scout out the signal too, if he didn't hurry up and retrieve a sample.

Finally, he found the source of the signal. The vein was small- but in the darkness, it eliminated bright red and almost seemed to pulse. Tilting his head to one side, Soundwave placed a digit along the edge of the vein.

Red energon.

Only few were lucky enough to find a pure source, while many others had merely tried to create a formula that matched the same structure as the red energon. A quick working energon that could make a Cybertronian body move faster than ever before.

It was uncommon for anybot to find this energon, since the last of it had been used for the remainder of the Great War on Cybertron.

Swiftly, Soundwave chipped away at the rock surrounding the vein and took a sample. Megatron would be pleased to have found such a rare item, but it seemed all there was left was this tiny amount the Decepticon now stood in front of.

At least the vehicons would be able to retrieve the remaining, regular energon that waited at the mouth of the cave, he mused quietly to himself before making his way outside.

In the meadow, Lynlee was racing after the 'shooting star' she had seen. As soon as she ran into her backyard she could no longer see the drone. It completely disapeared above the trees. But she knew the general direction it was going.

So she ran.

Her hair flew backwards with the wind, the waves looking ever more real as they bounced in the air. Arms pumping and legs going as fast as she could take them, Lynlee simply followed the whirring sound that was beginning to fade into the night.

After a few minutes, she finally took a break. Panting and gasping for air, while looking up towards the sky. When she didn't see anything, she simply began walking. She wasn't sure to where, but was determined to find some kind of answer.

Lynlee had no clue what she was getting herself into.

At the end of the meadow, there was a deep down slope littered with trees and gnarled roots. It was a difficult climb downhill, but the girl was able to find the appropriate handholds and footing.

Down below, Soundwave could hear twigs snapping and angry grunts as something much smaller than himself made its way towards him. The Decepticon tensed, optics scanning the area around him.

Lynlee noticed that something was off, just as the Cybertronian did. When the girl finally tripped down the rest of the slope, she froze in her spot upon seeing a giant robot staring at her.

It stood much taller than her house, with a purple glint to it's metal and a strange black visor over its face. The robot didn't move once after spotting her. It simply stood still and watched the girls reaction.

Soundwave felt relief the instant he realized it wasn't an Autobot hunting him down. There was no threat- simply a human fleshy that wouldn't pull its gaze away from him.

For a short moment, he wondered if he should offline it. Snap it's neck before it had the chance to utter a scream or cry for help. But there was no need for that. The human posed no threat to him, and no execution was necessary.

Instead of walking towards the little creature, Soundwave turned away and opened a groundbridge. With the red energon sample in his servo, he began to step through. That was, until the little femme let out an amazed gasp.

"Wow..." Lynlee whispered.

For a moment, the silent mech turned to stare at her again. The femme had a small smile and giant, wide optics that stared at him in awe. The way it looked at him- with such wonder and amazement, made Soundwave wonder.

What creature is this, to not even be afraid of me? I am something of greater power and strength, yet she hasn't even flinched.

His curiosity was peeked, but there was no time for him to admire the fleshy. The red energon needed to be brought to Megatrons attention immediately. As quickly as he had arrived, he disappeared through the green and blue glowing mass.

My mission was successful, he thought to himself.

Even after the robot disappeared into the green swirling portal, Lynlee couldn't remove the smile plastered onto her face.

This, she thought, no one can compare to.
