Optimus couldn't risk the human being harmed, but knew that the femme was in danger if Starscream managed to escape with her. Arcee glanced at her leader, trying to figure out what was going through his healm.

The situation wasn't looking good.

"It was nice seeing you, Autobots," Starscream teased, "but now I'm afraid I will have to take my package and leave."

Just as he began to turn, Soundwave stepped out into view, his purple armor shining in the nights light. His visor was pitch black and void of any emotion. No bot was able to see the deep scowl etched onto his face under that visor.

For some reason, he was furious. Completely and utterly disgusted with the way Starscream was treating a creature so much smaller than himself. And the fact that it bothered him, was completely and totally new to Soundwave. He wasn't quite sure what to make of this new emotion, but decided to dwell on it later.

"S-Soundwave?" Starscreams optics went wide in surprise and filled with question. "What-"

A large blast hit him square in the chest plating and a high pitched noise filled his autio receptors, sending pain throughout his entire system and throwing him off of his peds. Behind him, the Autobots covered their audio receptors and grunted in pain as Soundwave simply walked towards them.

In Starscreams hand, Lynlee also felt an intense, sharp pain in her ears, and noticed the hand holding her slowly release as it tilted to one side. Her black hair flew everywhere as she hit air and fell down towards the ground. Pain shot throughout her entire body as she slammed against the dirt. Seconds later, a larger mas also hit the ground, shaking everything around her.

The crystal around Lynlee's neck began to dim. The pain was almost too much to bare, but she managed to push herself up into a sitting position and glance around her. Six giant robots stood not too far away from her. Four in a group, one on the ground, and the other standing silently by the trees. And guess what?

She recognized one of them.

"You piece of scrap!" A high pitched voice whined. The earth began to shift again, and the robot that attacked her began moving. "You will pay for that!" Another high pitched blast came from the purple tinted robot, and Lynlee cried out in pain while covering her ear.

Soundwave heard the femme's cry, and jerked his head down to her, immediately stopping his attack. Why, he couldn't be certain. There was just something about the fleshy... he couldn't place his digit on.

Optimus Prime narrowed his eyes on the two decepticons, noting the tension between them. Perhaps if they kept their sights on each other, then he could safely evacuate the human and bring her back to base. She was obviously injured.

"Autobots, retrieve the human." He spoke through a private comm link.

Starscream noticed the Autobots move. He jerked back around growled before searching for the human. The femme was his only line of defense, and he didn't feel like joining the scrap-heap. Down below, Lynlee tried standing, but pain shot through her body.

Okay, not the best idea, she thought sourly.

"Come on, Lynlee. Just... move." She grunted. In her struggle, she didn't notice the hand that reached down to grab her. Just as it was about to wrap its metal fingers around her, Lynlee screamed.

Soundwave frowned from beneath his visor. He couldn't let Starscream get away with the human. He needed that stone the femme had. So before the seeker could grab her, Starscream stepped forward. Tentacles with sharp bladed ends reached out for Starscream, and the seeker scrambled away in alarm, pulling his servo away from the fleshy.

Another tentacle reached towards Lynlee, who was trying her best to get away from all of the action. She stumbled away a few steps. Just as the tentacle was about to grab her, a small mass hit the purple robot.

The autobots were attacking. Starscream scowled as he saw them all charging towards him. He needed that human, but if he tried to retrieve her now, he was definitely going to be off-lined or captured. So, like the coward he was, Starscream decided to retreat.

Lynlee heard the sound of grinding metal and turned to see a robot transforming into a jet before taking off to the sky. Soundwave watched the seeker go before turning back towards the Autobots.

"Retrieve the human." Optimus shouted.

Lynlee grasped her necklace and squeezed her eyes shut, not knowing what to do. It appeared that all of the robots wanted her, and she had no idea why. "What do I do?" she whimpered.

Her necklace began to glow and gently tug at her neck, just as it did the night her mother died. Lynlee gasped as it began to tug harder. This is too weird, she thought to herself. The ground shook, and she turned slightly to see the other robots running towards them. Panic swelled in her chest and she looked down at her necklace.

"What do I do?" she whispered.

The necklace twisted and turned, glowing even brighter as Lynlee tried to stand. After a few tries she finally managed to reach her feet, though it was quite painful, and turn towards the group of robots heading towards her.

The necklace yanked away and slid around her neck until it was pointing directly behind her. She gingerly turned her entire body and gasped. The necklace yanked harder and harder, as if it was desperate.

Soundwave stared down in confusion as the human tried to pull backwards- the glowing stone around her neck was pointed directly at him, and pulling her closer. The femme stared up at him with wide optics before glancing back down at her necklace.

"You want me to go with it?" she asked softly. Her mother's necklace yanked harder. The robot in front of her didn't speak, but took a step forward and reached out to her with a long tentacle. Panic rose up in Lynlee, but she forced herself not to move.

The necklace dropped and stopped glowing as soon as the robot held her in its servo. A glowing mass of green and blue suddenly opened behind the two of them, making Lynlee's eyes go wide.

Soundwave glanced back up at the Autobots, who began to take fire. "Do not harm the human!" Optimus warned the others. Soundwave stepped backwards, entering the groundbridge as energon blasts flew past him. Not one hit him.

Lynlee squeezed her eyes shut as they stepped into the swirlng mass.

Then, they were gone.
