I promise I will go back to edit. It bothers me to read back and see mistakes- it's a pet peeve of mine. Would anyone be interested in reading a non-fanfic book I wrote if I posted it after I'm done with my two transformers books? I will definitely write more transformers but wanted to try something else too.
Hope you enjoy this chapter! I tried to make it a little longer. Comment if you see a mistake, please!

Soundwave had felt the stone glowing and jolted awake from his recharge. He jolted with a start, slightly startled but quickly gained his bearings as he scanned the dark room around him with his glowing optics. Immediately, he checked in with Lazerbeak, wanting a report on the area around them.
The little drone found nothing suspicious around them. It seemed they were safe for now.
From beside him, the human child groaned in her recharge. The thick layer of protection provided to her for the cold night was thrown to one side, and she arched her back on the bales of hay as a small scream left her throat.
The communications officer immediately activated his holoform, feeling the energon around his neck pull and tug as the little human continued to scream in fear. He just stood there at first, wondering if he should even bother since there was no threat around them. She wouldn't be drawing any attention to the two of them, so what was the point?
But he just stood there. Wondering. Staring. Feeling the tug and pull around his neck. There were times when Soundwave felt connected to this femme. It pulled at his spark. There was a connection there that he couldn't explain- she was connected to him and he wasn't sure why.
It was so unlike the bond that spark-mates held, but similar all the same. He felt something, a pull so to say, around her. Soundwave had felt it the moment he'd laid optics upon her small form in the woods that first night. But why? How? What was so special about this human? A creature so inferior to him.
Something so small he could squish her beneath his pede. Crush her flimsy bones and grind her into the dirt. But the thought made him physically flinch every time. Like it was a crime to even think about harming her.
The little human screamed again. Soundwave snapped his attention down to her, alarmed at how loud she was getting. Her hands reached out in front of her, grasping the air. Panicked gasps left her lips.
He grabbed her shoulders then, shaking her gently in attempts to wake her up. That only made things worse. Her body shook more violently and she writhed in his grip. Fluids fell from her optics as they shot open. His own optics widened as he realized that she was not awake yet, just staring at nothing.
Like her body was forcing her to stay in recharge.
"Don't touch me, please!" she screamed. Her weak hands flew across his face platings, but it did him no harm. He tried to move away, hoping she would stop before she hurt her servos. "Don't touch me! Leave him alone!"
Soundwave shook her again, but froze at the next words to come from her mouth.
"RAZORWING!"
He froze. It was like his limbs could not move. How in the Allspark did she know that name? Why was she dreaming about his sire?
"Stop it! Stop it put her down!"
Soundwave reached forward again, grasping her arms and shaking her more violently. Normally, the communications officer was calm and collected. Very little would faze him. He'd seen war, slaughter, and stared Megatron right in the optics. Not a lot could scare him.
But right then, in that moment, Soundwave was terrified.
"Lynlee!" he shouted without meaning too, shaking her so hard her head snapped to one side. Immediately, her optics shot open and he found himself looking down on her trembling figure.
