The days passed slowly. June finally decided it was time to leave Lynlee alone, and would only come in the morning and afternoons to check her healing injuries. Despite Ratchet's complaints, she never did see much of the other Autobots or humans. They seemed nice enough, but the young girl was still weary.

Ratchet would roll his eyes every time Soundwave was brought into the conversation, and would shut down any questions thrown at him.

"Optimus knows what he is doing. While I disagree completely, he will no doubt let the two of you converse with each other sooner or later."

One yellow and black bot, Bumblebee, enjoyed keeping Lynlee company. It was sweet and all but there was really no point when she couldn't understand a single thing he was saying. Most of his actions were a series of beeps, whirs, and excited hand movements. The quiet human, graph, was there from time to time, but never approached her.

After two weeks, Lynlee was beginning to grow bored. Was she meant to sit there forever? At least she had things to do back on the Decepticon ship with Soundwave. Her fingers twitched at the thought of getting her hands on her sketchbook, but it was useless to think about. No doubt they had already disposed of her stuff.

Everything she had ever loved other than her mother.

Thinking about it brought tears to her eyes, but she pushed herself off of the tiny bed rather than cry. The distinct sound of clicking rang throughout the room as Ratchet continued with his work. He cried out when his optics finally landed upon the healing girl.

"You cannot stand, let alone walk around! Healing takes rest-"

"My butt's numb. I need to move around." Lynlee grumbled while struggling to take another step.

"Wait until June hears about your disobedience, you-"

"Perhaps Lynlee is right in acting out." The deep voice of Optimus Prime rang out, making the girl jump. Her dark hair flew around as she turned her head quickly and tilted it up in order to meet the Autobot leader's eyes.

He stared down at her with a small smile.

"Optimus-"

"I will take her into my care for a few hours."

Ratchet's optics widened as Optimus' servo gently scooped Lynlee off the floor, making sure not to jostle her around. The medic forced himself not to protest as the two slowly made their way out of the base.

Lynlee clung onto the large metal hand she sat upon for what felt like forever. Soon, the two were on top of a large rock- what she assumed to be the top of the Autobot base. Optimus walked towards the edge. Out of instinct, Lynlee twisted farther to the back of his hand out of fright.
