Sorry for the break. I'm trying my best with this book I love it and enjoy writing it but college can be time-consuming. The picture above is how I imagine Soundwave. I couldn't find a real person so this will have to do.

"Do you really want me to answer that question, or are you acting stupid?"
Jack winced at the volume of his mother's voice while quickly pulling his phone away from his ear. From beside him, Arcee gave a subtle eye roll. The young boy was leaned up against the railing in the Autobot's central control room, trying his best to calm down a seething June Darby.
"Mom, how many times have I told you, I am completely safe when I am with the Autobots. Especially in their own base."
"A base that currently has a Decepticon. A Decepticon that attacked you with an axe not too long ago." Nurse Darby shot back. Jack let out a nervous laugh.
"That was Miko's fault really-"
"Jack Darby, I pray that I find you home within the next hour. I am almost done with my shift, and I had better see you home." The call ended, leaving a sweating Jack taking deep breaths.
"Calm down there, she can't get you. She's halfway across Jasper right now." Arcee joked with a smirk.
Jake stared at his guardian as if she had two heads. "Trust me, Arcee. Be there in an hour means be there in three seconds and they can always tell when you're not."
"That's physically impossible for a human."
"Never underestimate the power of an angry mother. They know everything."
Arcee, not really understanding the whole concept of a mother-son relationship, finally sighed in defeat. "I have to go on patrol and the others are busy. I'll take you home as soon as I get back. Your mom already you enough right now, though, so I think it's best if you stay here."
Jack threw his head back in an exaggerated groan. "The others are already gone. You expect me to party with Ratchet?"
"I heard that." the old medic's voice grumbled from the other side of the room.
"You'll be fine. I doubt you would ever want to party anyways. Unless you've fallen under Miko's influence."
Jack shivered, finally giving in. "yeah, you're right. I'll see you later, Arcee. Maybe mom will cut some slack on me and go after you instead." he joked.
Arcee shot him a look before transforming and taking off without a groundbridge. The boy shuddered at the thought that not one but two women were now made at him. One being his mother, and the other being a huge alien robot.
"Great. Just great."
Ratchet rolled his optics from the corner of the room. "Be useful, why don't you, and go tell Prime I require his assistance. He should be done interrogating Soundwave for now."
The two had been searching for that girl, and the last omega key for days on end. It was obvious that Optimus Prime was guilty about letting the girl go, and allowing Soundwave to take her, but Jake was sure that he could find something out with the Decepticon in his own servos.
With a deep sigh, Jake nodded. "No problem. Be glad Miko isn't here or she'd be taking selfies with the con."
The older medic huffed. "I have no idea how she can manage to slip past all of us at the same time. Bulkhead was right to send her and Raph home. And it's time you did the same, Jack. No matter the circumstances, Soundwave is a dangerous con who can end your life in an instant. We should not underestimate him."
The two parted ways as Jack slowly made his way down the hallway and past the storage rooms, counting each massive doorway until he found the interrogation room. He hadn't realized the Autobots had an interrogation room, but then again they had never captured a con. It surprised him really, to think any of the bots could try and torture another cybertronian, but it was life and death in war.
Jack placed his hand against the scanner next to the human-sized door and within a few seconds he was given access and the mic lit red. After a few moments of silence, Jack leaned forward.
"Uh, Optimus? Ratchet says he needs you."
The red light blinked and in the next moment, Optimus Prime answered back, "I will be out in a moment, friend."
Jack stared at the speaker in front of him, wondering when Optimus had ever called him a friend before now. A quick glance at his wristwatch revealed the time and he jumped. "Oh, god, mom's gonna kill me. I might as well dig my grave now."
Before he could turn, the large door slid open.
Jack's eyes widened as Soundwave stood before him, metal tentacles raised. Adrenaline pumped through the young boy's veins as he spotted Optimus Prime on the ground behind the con, groaning as he grasped an injury leaking energon.
Soundwave tilted his head.
"Thank you, friend. I shall see ratchet now."
