(3 weeks later)
I hate school. I really do. I don't see the point in coming, really. It's not like I learn much. Most of my classes I don't pay attention in, and I tend to sleep a lot. It just doesn't make sense to come and be around so many people that I can't stand if I don't learn anything that's gonna help me in life. I tried telling my mom this, but she didn't exactly see eye-to-eye with me. So, here I am. In this hell also known as school. To say I'm having a bad day is a bit of an understatement.
The day started with a dumb freshman coming up and writing his number on my arm in sharpie. Then in first period we had a pop quiz that I'm pretty sure I failed. And when I was in science, we had partners and we weren't allowed to pick and my teacher stuck me with Alissa Ondonty, who is such a disgusting slut that I was afraid to be within 5 feet of. To finish my bad day off, I lost my ride home. This morning, Dustin and Daniel were both sick, so they stayed home. Then Demetry went home early because he got sick. And Chris is visiting his dad in Georgia right now, so he's not even in the state. Derek and my mom are both at work, so I'm just stuck walking home. First I went to the store to pick up stuff for diner.
Once I was home, I put everything away and went to check on the boys, only to find all of them sleeping. I checked my phone to see I had 5 texts. One from Derek, one from Chris, one from Dustin, and two from my mom.
From: Derek
-Hey kid sis. Sorry you have to walk home today. I wish I could get off work early to come give you a ride home. I hope you're having a good day. I should be home around 4. I'll see you later. Love you.
From: Chris<3
-Hey babe, how's your day?
From: Dustin
-Would you mind stopping at the store on your way home and getting some 7-up?
From: Mum
-Well now 3 of your brothers are sick. Are you feeling okay?
-I need to ask a huge favor of you. I won't be home until late tonight. I need you to do some grocery shopping. I left money on the counter. Love you, dollface!
Well great. Just wonderful. Now I had to walk back to the store to do grocery shopping. There was no way I was walking that far again. I decided on just taking the 4 wheeler; it would be a lot quicker and easier. I attached our 4 wheeler racks, grabbed the keys, and headed to the store. About 10 minutes later, I got to the store and realized I had no clue what to buy, due to the fact my mom didn't tell me anything specific.
After about 20 minutes of walking around, I had about everything I thought we needed and was getting ready to leave, when I remembered we had no tea bags left. I walked to the isle with the tea bags, only to discover they were on the top shelf, where I couldn't reach. Being the determined person I am, I tried reaching for them anyways. And man, did I regret wanting those tea bags; because that's when I heard his voice right behind me. A voice I could've gone the rest of my life without hearing.
"Want some help with that baby?" he asked. Without even turning around, I already knew he had that famous little smirk of his on his face. I turned around to see the face I was in no mood for. Cole.
"Not from you I don't."
"Awe don't be like that. Let me get it for you and then maybe we can go do something."
"There's no way in hell I would ever go do anything with you."
"Hmm feisty. You haven't changed one bit," he smirked, eyeing me up and down. I couldn't help but scoff at how much of an asshole he is. I still can't believe I was with him. "Neither have you. Still the same asshole you've always been," I spat, trying to shove past him.
