(One month later)

Destiny's POV

I've been working at Forest's White Water Rafting for almost a month now. I love working here. Everyone is so nice. They've come to be like a second family to me. I love working in the rafts. It's fun to think that just a month ago, I had never white water rafted, and now I do it almost every day for my job. A lot of times it doesn't even feel like work. It feels like doing something fun with friends.

The only person who really annoys me is Seth. He's always flirting with me and is just a complete ass. He is the true definition of man whore. Devin and her older sister, Edie, feel the same about him. The only reason he works here is because he's their neighbor.

Today I'm sitting inside at the desk doing deskwork. I didn't have school so I'm working all day. There's not much to do today though. It's getting colder so there's not as many people. Pretty soon it's gonna be too cold to white water raft. Right now I'm sitting at the desk reading a book for school. I didn't notice Devin walk up behind me until she squeezed my sides, making me jump and her laugh.

"Good book?" she asked with a smirk.

I scoffed. "Hardly. It's a stupid book for school. I'm about to take it out into the rapids and just say I lost it."

"Feel like taking a break for awhile?" she asked with a hopeful smile.

"Hell yes," I said throwing the stupid book onto the desk.

"Good. C'mon, grab your purse. We're goin' to the mall," she told me getting up.

"But aren't we supposed to be working?" I asked her skeptically.

"Look around Des. It's dead here. There's hardly any work to be done. I already asked my dad if it was okay. Now lets go woman!" she yelled running for the door. I laughed grabbing my purse and followed her to the door. I was about to walk out when Devin's 3 year old brother, Clint, stepped in front of me, blocking my path.

"So I couldn't help but overhear that you're going to the mall," he said. I just nodded, already knowing where this was going. "Can I come?! Please, please, please!" he begged.

I sighed rolling my eyes. "Did you ask your dad?"

He bobbed his head. I groaned finally giving in to the little dude in front of me. "Fine. Lets go." He sprinted out to the car, with me following after him. Devin scrunched her eyebrows together in confusion and looked over at me. I just shrugged and she sighed as we got into the car.

I turned on the radio to hear Point at You by Justin Moore. We all sang along at the top of our lungs until the song ended. I turned to Devin and furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"Why are we going to the mall? We both hate the mall," I question, confused.

"Well..," she started with a smirk. "I have a date tonight," she told us. I smirked, nudging her.

"So who's the lucky guy that is honored to be taking you on a date?" I asked her, the smirk on my face still present.

"Well you know him. You're really close to him actually. Well not physically right now. You love him and he's almost 3 years older than you. He's got light brown hair and light pretty blue eyes. He just got out of the hospital 1 week ago but he's still on crutches." My eyes grew wide and my jaw dropped with realization.

"Oh my gosh! You're going on a date with Demetry?!" I screamed. A goofy grin spread across her face as a blush filled her cheeks. She nodded, never taking her eyes off the road to look at me. The rest of the ride was silent.

Ten minutes later, we were pulling into the mall parking lot. Devin turned off the car and we started getting out. Then I realized the little dude in the back was making no move to get out. I looked in the back and noticed the little man was peacefully sleeping. I laughed and nudged Devin to look at Clint. She laughed and went to wake him up.
