I sat there not moving. Completely surprised by the fact that Chris was standing right in front of me. He had his hands in his pockets and looked..... guilty? He gave me a sad smile and let out a breath.
"First of all I'm sorry Destiny" he began. That really confused me. Why would he be sorry?
"Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything. I shouldn't have poured the syrup down your pants. And in your shoes. It was stu-"
"It was just a joke. I shouldn't of did what I did. Look Des the truth is I was never really mad. I was just trying to get you back. I had no clue you would get so upset. And I definantly never wanted to make you cry. I'm so sorry" He told me.
I sat there trying to gather my thoughts. 'He was never mad'? At first I was relived. Then a different feeling came over me. I quickly got up off the couch so he was right in front of me.
"So you were never mad?!?!" I yelled.
"Umm... Err... No?" he stuttered.
"So you made me cry for nothing?!?! Something everyone knows I don't like ever do?!?!" I yelled getting more angry.
He just stood. He opened his mouth to talk but still didn't say anything.
"Jerk!!!" I yelled slapping his arm. He still just stood there and started rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
I sighed. "But" I started pausing for dramatic effect. "I'm a forgiving person. So I forgive you"
He looked up at me and smiled a smile that seemed to light up the whole room. I smiled back at him. He picked me up, hugging me while spinning me in circles.
"Hey" Dustin started in a stern voice. "Not too close. Keep your hands to yourself" He said pointing a finger at Chris.
Chris lifted his hands up innocintly as he took a step back. I just smiled and giggled. It was funny how he listened to my brothers. Something Jay never did.
When Dustin left the room and I still had a thought in the back of my head. More a question actually. I had been wondering it all morning but was a little too upset to ask. 'Well I guess now is as good a time as ever to ask' I thought to myself.
"Now that everything is ok again, I have a question that I've been wondering" I announced.
"Whats the question dollface?" Chris asked. Dollface? Weird.
"Dollface? Really? Anyways, I was wondering what you guys were talking about earlier this morning before I came out of the bathroom" I said. They all 3 looked at each other as if they were having a conversation with their eyes. Then eventually they looked back at me with smiles on their faces.
"It's a surprise" Chris told me in a funny voice.
"I'm not a big fan of surprises" I told them causing everyone to laugh. Well except me.
"Don't worry you'll find out soon enough" Chris said. I just glared at him.
I heard someone running down the steps and Dustin once again appeared.
"Are we all keeping our hands to ourselves?" He asked. Ugh someimes he was too overprotective.
"Nope" I said turning to Jess and giving her a big hug.
"You know what I meant. Anyways, did you still want me to take you dress shopping today?" He asked. What a stupid question.
"No I would never want to do such a thing" I replied in a sarcastic voice.
"Fine by me" he replied.
"It's fine by me, if you never leave!" I started singing.
"And we can live like this forever, it's fine by me!" Jess finished.
