I'm taking my time to change into my work clothes. It's hideous, no one has ever looked good in these outfits. They're baggy, not colourful and don't even get me started on the most ugly clogs in the world. I put all my stuff into my locker except for my phone and buzzer and lock it before walking away to where Trixie said she'd meet me. I walk towards my desk and yes, she's sitting right there. Her big blonde curles noticable from a mile away. She smiles and waves as she sees me. "You really need to decorate your workspace or you'll never enjoy it here!" She says laughing, a little snort escaping. "Didn't have the time to do it yet." I reply with a chuckle. I'm assuming she's just naturally this excited. "I'll help you with that sometime too, but right now I've got a building to show you." She says before standing and walking away from my desk into a hallway, turning around in her steps signaling me to follow her.

I quickly hurry over to her and not long after I catch up and walk next to her. "This is my usual section, the kids section. I'm here at least 75% of my shifts so if you ever need me for something, I suggest looking here first." She speaks as we walk through hallways and corridors. We walk quite a big route and she explains me everything with every little detail. I look at her while she's blabbing on about something. Trixie's actually really nice, and one of the only ones so far who offered to do something for me. "so, the upper floor is the canteen and there's also a door to the roof, where you can smoke and eat lunch!" She finally finishes, a smile still plastered onto her face. "You're actually allowed to smoke here? Dear god if only someone had told me earlier." I say with a groan almost, I can hear her chuckle. "I can go up with you and you can go for one, if Needles starts acting up I'll take the blame." She says to me as she's walking me to the elevators. "Do you even smoke?" I ask her with a brow raised. "No, but I do if she starts giving you shit." She replies, winking as she steps into the elevator. I follow her, cracking a smile.

I take a drag from my cigarette as I light it, leaning back against the railing. "This. This is what would've made these 2 weeks so far do-able." I say and I hear Trixie almost scream-laugh. "Oh come on, it's not that bad here is it?" She asks me. "It's not bad, it's just that this hospital isn't really specialized in teens, which is my department." I reply, blowing out a cloud of smoke. "Yeah, you're right. We usually only get older people and kids. But we do get teens from time to time." She says, letting herself rest against the railing next to me. I take the last few drags of my cigarette before flicking it away and walking back inside together with Trixie.

As we walk towards the elevators again we chat a little about past experiences with patients and other stuff. We get in the elevator and I press on the button for our floor. It stops a floor underneath us and as the doors open we're greeted by a woman with shoulder length, curly, blonde hair and bright red lipstick. Trixie's smile fades as soon as she sees her, looking towards the floor. The woman gets in with us and presses on the button of the basement. No one says anything and the tension is almost a thick fog. When it stops at our floor Trixie and I both walk out. "Can I ask what that was? Or who?" I carefully ask Trixie as we're walking. "Katya. And it was nothing." She says, having a smile on her face again already. I decide to just shake it off.

As we want to walk around the corner we get held back by a doctor. We both stick our heads into the hallway to see what's going on. A group of doctors and nurses are pushing a stretcher forward. As it rolls past us I'm able to catch a glimpse of a girl with dark hair. Trixie turns to me and shrugs. "Guess we'll hear about it soon enough," She says before looking back at the stretcher rolling forwards. "or not." She simply says before walking away, I snap out of my thoughts and catch up with her. "Got any questions left about anything?" Trixie asks me as we're back at my desk. "No I think you've covered pretty much everything. But I know where to find you if I do." I reply, sitting back in my chair. She rests her arms crosswise on the top of the counter above my desk. "I think we'll become good colleagues, and maybe even better friends!" She says happily, I just chuckle. "I gotta go, smell ya later!" And she heads off. She's a sweet girl, who definitely does have the hots for Katya.

I open up some files and my planner as I'm basically waiting for something to do. I think about the person on the stretcher, they were looking pretty young, but not that young. Just then my buzzer goes off. I look at the little screen which reads 'Room 24A'. Laila's room. I quickly get up from my seat and start walking towards her room. I softly open the door and walk inside. "Yes?" I ask. "Nurse Raven, will you play a game with me?" She softly asks. "Is that why you rang the bell?" I ask with a chuckle as I get closer. "Uh.. Yeah?" She answers and we both laugh. "You're lucky I'm not terribly busy." I say to her and I can see her eyes starting to sparkle. We play a few card games and chat a little until her dinner is being rolled in by Katya. "Dinner, little babushka!" She says as she enters the room. I clean up the cards and give Laila a fistbump before leaving the room.

Katya follows me shortly after. "Hey!" I hear from behind me, as I turn I just see a row of shining white teeth. "Didn't really get the chance to introduce myself, Katya." She says and holds her hand out. I don't shake it. "You've actually had the chance before, but your relationship on the workfloor was more important. Raven." I simply reply. Yes, I'm that type of person. She lowers her hand again. "Well, then. Welcome to the team?" She carefully says and I just nod. I don't get why she's talking to me all of a sudden. I want to walk further but almost immediately get stopped by Violet literally standing in front of me. "Boss wants you in her office." She says and I roll my eyes. I walk past her and head straight to Needles her office. I knock on her door and it takes a while for her to respond. "Yes, come in."
