~Phil's POV~

"Bye Louise thanks for the coffee!" I shouted as I waved her off before entering my house. "Mom! I'm home!" I shouted as I placed my bag down by the door when I noticed something, Dan's shoes were here. What? I walked into the kitchen to find my mother making cookies and humming, "Mom?"

"Hello dear how was your coffee date?" she chimed as I laughed, I had told her about my crush on Dan last year and she more than approved. Still, she liked to make jokes about it, and honestly, it always seemed to make my day.

"Mom it wasn't a date and it was great thanks. Now, ummm... Is Dan here?"  she smiled as if he had always been here.

"Yes dear," I was confused as she sat me down at the table, "he showed up just an hour ago. You should've seen the state he was in, all beaten and bruised." No. Dan. "He ran away Phil, he ran away from home. He needs a place to stay so I offered up the guest room for him as long as he needs." I smiled, she was so kind to him. She handed me a plate of cookies, "This is for you two to share okay?"

I nodded smiling back at her before I made my way up the stairs and towards the guest bedroom. Only when I opened the door he wasn't there. His suitcase was there and all his stuff but he wasn't. "Dan?" I questioned,

"In here" he chimed, he must've thought I was my mom. I made my way to my room to see him sitting on my bed, he wasn't doing anything, he was just sitting there looking around. His eyes met mine as he blushed, "O-Oh sorry P-Phil I didn't look through anything honest!" I laughed as he got all defensive.

"Relax Dan it's okay." he sighed and smiled. "I brought you cookies," I smiled sitting down on my bed, "Dan, what happened?" His eyes flooded with worry as they quickly left my glance. "You don't have to tell me I just wanted to know if I could help in some way."

"It was n-nothing Phil..." he sighed, "I-I just, h-he started b-beating me again and I was fine with it u-until..."

"Until what?" I was so confused he was okay with his dad beating him?!

"Until he b-brought y-your name into it. I c-couldn't let it go so...so I f-fought back and I still l-lost."  Hot tears started welling in his eyes, "So I r-ran. I brought everything I had and I ran. Please, P-Phil, Please! D-Don't kick me out y-you're all I have!" his voice cracking between his sobs.

I quickly brought him into my arms and held him close, "Dan I would never kick you out! You're safe here! Stay as long as you need okay? As long as you're safe that's all I care about,"

"T-thank you..." he mumbled as he buried his head in the crook of my neck causing me to blush madly.

*Two Days Later*

*Friday Night*

It felt natural to have Dan in the house if I'm being honest. It was Friday night and we were both sat playing Mario Kart. I was winning. "Goddammit!" Dan shouted as the matched ended with him in tenth place, "Fucking baby peach even beat me!? All the shitty characters beat me! How!?" I laughed as he threw popcorn in my face, "Shut up you twat" he smiled as I playfully punched his arms.

Suddenly my phone rang, it was Pj, "Hey Pj! No why? Really? I don't know... Okay, okay fine! Where? Okay. See you in fifteen." Dan shot me a confused look, "That was Pj" I laughed, "Chris is having a party cause his parents are out of town for the weekend and they want us to come." I saw the worry on his face, "We don't have to go, we can stay if you want too. Pj said that Chris said we can stay the night if we decide to drink."

"Is your mom okay with you drinking?" He smirked.

"Yeah just as long as I come home the next day she said she doesn't care. So, is that a yes to the party?" I smirked as he nodded.
