~Phil's POV~
"You don't do this Dan!" I shouted quickly getting to my feet, my hands in fists, I just wanted to punch something. "You talk to me! You come to me! You text me! You don't do this! What if you had gone too far!? You could've died! We're supposed to be a team! Talk to me!" My tears staining my shirt as they fell from my face. Dan looked both shocked and sad, "Say something!" I shouted as he got to his feet and pulled me into a hug, holding me close as I hit him in the back with my fists. "Let go of me! Let me go! I-I want... I..." I choked on my sobs as he slowly rocked me back and forth until I was slightly calmer.
I heard him started to cry as he sighed, "I-I don't know what you want me to say, Phil... I wish I did. I knew you'd get angry over this when I did it and I still went through with it..." He was starting to choke through his sobs I could hear it. "But I didn't want anything to happen to you... I didn't want my problems and past to affect you and who you are... I want to keep you safe and all I know is that if my past finds you...I might not be able to and that scares the shit out of me..." His past? What is he on about? Why would he need to protect me from his past? What is he talking about? "I can't tell you... I wish I could... Maybe one day I can tell you why but not now. I'm so sorry Phil"
*Ten Minutes Later*
It had started raining. We were, soaked but we didn't care we stayed there, there in the street. Hugging, crying and apologizing to each other. People had come and gone, shot us weird looks and moved along but one didn't. I wasn't sure who he was or why he was staring at us from the cafe across the street but at the same time, I didn't care. Slowly Dan's fingers trailed along my jaw and softly grabbed my chin, his hazel eyes meeting mine, "I'm so sorry Lion..." I sighed and brought my hands up to cup his cheeks. "I-I love you" he muttered before I pulled him closer and sealed the gap between us.
When we pulled apart I smiled as his forehead touched mine, "I love you too bear,"
*Back At The House*
Let's just say my mother gave us a talking to when we showed up out of nowhere without explanation and without telling her we were going to be late. What's more, she scolded us for being out in the rain for so long without jackets. I sat in my room, staring at the ceiling, thinking about Dan and I. Our future. Who we are. Us. I knew he meant it, what he said earlier. I knew he meant it, that was just who Dan was. For some reason though, it still hurt, seeing him hurt. Slowly, I got up and walked down the hall to the bathroom, I knew it wasn't locked. None of us lock the door I mean only Dan and I use this bathroom, my moms got her own. Quietly I pushed the door open, the curtains were shut and the room was steamy. Dan's phone was playing music and he was singing to it which caused a smile to form on my face. Quietly and carefully I discarded my clothes and made my way to the curtains. Slowly, I pulled the curtains open a bit, "Jesus Christ Phil!? What're you doing?!" His cheeks instantaneously turned a bright red as I smirked,
"I-I thought maybe I.. I could join you?" he seemed at a loss for words because all he did was leave his mouth open. I took that as a yes. I slowly entered the area and flinched as hot water started to pour on to my skin. I slowly placed my hands on Dan's chest, his eyes wide as I smiled slowly pulling him close. His soft hands held my back, my eyes slowly met his, he smirked as he quickly pulled me into a passionate kiss.
