"Jackson, I swear to God if you don't stop fussing over me like I am a child I will go home!" Kay demanded.

Jackson had taken Kay home from work when she wasn't feeling well and tucked her into his bed. He took a glass of 7-Up into her and set it next to the bed with a pack of saltine crackers. He rummaged around in the garage until he found a bucket that he could wash out for her in case she got sick again. After running around making sure she would have everything she might possibly need, he curled up in bed with her and held her tight to his chest. Kay was getting frustrated because every ten minutes Jackson asked her if she was feeling alright.

"I'm sorry baby girl, but I love you and I hate seeing you sick. You look pale, you can't keep food down, and you have been sleeping on and off for the past fifteen hours. Obviously, something is wrong." He whispered against her neck, while nuzzling his face into her.

"It's probably the flu babe. Everyone gets sick once in a while. Now, you get your cute booty up and get ready for work!" She scolded.

"I thought I could take a sick day with you." He smiled.

"Not a chance. You know we have the health inspectors coming soon, and word has it there is a food critic in the area. You need to get down there and make sure everything is clean and properly taken care of. I will be fine here on my own. Make sure you call the guys that clean our vent systems and schedule an early cleaning. I want everything perfect." She patted him on the leg. "I'm not going to tell you again Jackson, get up and go!" She shouted with her lips curled into a weak smile.

After almost three full days in bed, Kay was finally holding down crackers and soda. She felt gross from throwing up for three days straight but, once she let herself soak in a nice hot bubble bath, she started feeling better. She slowly got up out of her bath and dried herself off. She hadn't taken any clothes into the bathroom with her, but spotted Jackson's robe hanging on the back of the bathroom door. She wrapped the towel in her hair and slipped his soft robe onto her body. As she exited into the hallway, she was overcome with the smell of bacon. Any sign of feeling better fled from her, and she ran to the toilet and heaved.

"Seriously Jackson, you just had to cook bacon? My stomach is still a little too weak for that." She groaned as she entered the dining room.

"I'm sorry baby, I thought you were feeling better, and I wanted you to have a proper breakfast." He said while gently pulling her into his arms and setting her down on his lap.

Kay looked confused for a moment and ran to where her cell phone was plugged in. She quickly removed the charger port and slid her fingers across the touch screen a few times. After studying something on the screen for a moment, her eyes popped open as big as they could, and her jaw dropped open. She stood that way for a moment, before walking back over to where Jackson was sitting all confused.

"Jackson, I'm late." She said with a shell-shocked voice.

"Baby, if you think I'm letting you go to work today after you just admitted you didn't feel good yet, you are crazy. You're staying home again, and that is final." He said sternly.

"NO JACKSON! I am LATE!" She practically yelled.

"I heard you the first time; I am just not giving in. Anything you had planned to do today can wait." He didn't even look at her as he spoke; he just kept eating his breakfast.

"Jackson Marcus! Can you please focus on what I am saying? I am not trying to tell you that I am late for work. I am trying to tell you that I am LATE, late. Now, focus and let that sink in." She said while placing her hands on his shoulders.

"You mean? Like as in..? No way baby, are you sure?" He smiled wide at her. "Are you trying to tell me that you think we are going to be having...?" And before he could finish his sentence, she nodded her head and sat back on his lap.
