Georgetown. Madras.

"What happened Stinson? Did you get anything regarding the robbery?" asked the Governor-General. "Yes Sir. We arrested two men. Pilot Trainees. They were bringing the money in the train and we found that they helped the Bandits in stealing the money. Rajan helped me in catching them and now they are in the Buckingham Canal Wing of the Central Jail" Colonel Stinson gave the details like a report. "Ah, fine. I would like to talk to them. I am so angry on them. How dare they steal that money.. I thought of using it for the Me..Met... What was that place again?" George Stanley asked Stinson. "Mettur, Sir?" "Yeah. Mettur. For that dam project. And also for the medical college, which has been in pending status for a long time. On top of that reports say we are hit by some disease dangerous than plague. We just don't have money for everything. I need to ask either Bombay Presidency or Calcutta Presidency for money. Or should put a request to the Crown. And if I do that, they will definitely remove me from the Governor-General post. Aaaahhhh!! This is madness." the Governor-General was irritated. He then took a paper and started writing. "Look Stinson. I need to talk to them. Arrange it at once. Here are the papers that are required for the procedure. Make it fast." He then put the seal and handed the papers to Stinson. Stinson comes out of the Governor-General's office and starts searching for Rajan. "Where is this Rajan? He is taking way too many leaves, these days. Hey James, ask the police commissioner to arrange a meeting with those Bandit helpers. Do it immediately." James then took the letter from Stinson and left.

Rajan was feeling very tired with all the trips to Bezawada and Guntur. He started to feel that Stinson will find out about his plan. "I need to be more careful. Else the whole master plan will be out" he thought. He then reported at the Governor-General's office. All of a sudden, he shouts out of fear. It was Stinson, who put his hand on Rajan's shoulder. "Good Lord!! Rajan.. what was the need to shout like that" Stinson said. "No Sir. It was a surprise gesture. I was not prepared" Rajan replied, breathing heavily. "Anyway, where are you these days Rajan.. You are not reporting here. And the troops said they saw you in Central Railway station. Where were you going?" Stinson asked Rajan. Rajan was shook by Stinson's questions. He didn't know how to reply. And with Stinson staring at him, he had to say something. "I.. I was..Uh.. I actually heard there was this disease spreading here.. and I.. I.. I heard about a doctor.. Uh..who.. could ah!.. cure the disease. So I went to Hyderabad to enquire about her." Rajan gave a stuttering answer. He was still afraid, as it was a lie and he didn't want Stinson to find out. Stinson started getting suspicious about Rajan. He then asked, "OH! That's great Rajan. Did you meet her?" Rajan got even more tensed. Right when he was going to answer, the Governor-General interrupted them. "Oh Rajan. Good to see you. I heard you helped Stinson in finding those Bandit helpers. Good job. Now let's go to the Jail. I have to meet them today, at any cost" the Governor-General said. They then got into the car and started towards the Jail. Stinson was not convinced with Rajan. He knew Rajan was hiding. He was eager to find out about that.

While going to the Jail, the Governor-General was surprised with the amount of people near the General hospital. He asked to stop the car. "Stinson. Go check what is happening there. I need to know why there is a huge crowd here. Rajan, accompany Colonel Stinson to the hospital. Go immediately" he ordered. Stinson and Rajan got out. Rajan was hiding himself from Stinson's direct eye contact. They went in and found the Head Doctor and a Lady along with him, speaking to the nurses, compounders and staff. Stinson called the Head Doctor and asked regarding the crowd. In the meantime Rajan bumped into the Lady doctor. "Oh! Sorry Madam. I was thinking about something else. It was an accident. I am really sorry." "It's okay sir. Looks like you came along with the Colonel." "Yeah, Madam. I am Rajan. He is Colonel Stinson. We came here to ask about the crowd on the order of the Governor-General." "Oh. I am Anamika. I just came to Madras yesterday from Hyderabad. I heard there was a dangerous disease spreading here. So I came to check about it." said Anamika . Rajan was shocked. He didn't expect this. He thought this will be a perfect opportunity for him to get back Stinson's trust. His lie just got true.
