Marina Beach. 4:37 pm.
It was a breezy evening. People have just started to come to enjoy the breeze and waves from the sea. Two people were sitting on a bench on the promenade near the presidency college side of the beautiful Marina beach. They held their hands together and just sat there watching the crowd accumulate at the beach. Sitaram and Anamika began their journey of Love.
Rahman decided to return to Hyderabad as he wanted to meet his wife and family. He visited the beach along with Sitaram and Anamika, but decided not to disturb them. He bought some sundal from a vendor lady and started observing the activities in which the crowd was involved. Some were just standing in the water, while some were swimming in the sea and enjoying the tides. Children were enjoying the rides and small cultural shows, while their parents were eating sundal and sweets. Rahman decided to walk to the ocean, in order to wash his feet. As he stepped forward, he felt very uneasy. Something happened to his body. He felt very uncomfortable and disturbed. Rahman started to analyse and thought about the cause for his uneasiness. After few minutes, the answer hit straight to his head. "Oh my... Sundal!!!!" He ran towards the nearest public restroom.
Some facts about the Marina beach.
1. It is the longest beach in Asia and the second longest in the world.
2. It starts near the light house and goes all the way till Fort St. George.
3. The main beach is 4 miles long and is 1.5 miles wide i.e. the distance from the promenade to the sea.
4. Many prestigious places are situated along the beach.
5. Fort St. George is the office and residence of the Governor-General. Wonder why I didn't mention that earlier in the story.... Now back to the story.Colonel Stinson was waiting outside the guest room along with James who was holding a flower bouquet and a basket of health (fruits). They were expecting Subhash Chandra Bose to visit the Governor-General near the North end of the Marina beach for some Royal Tea and biscuits imported from England, made with items cultivated and grown in India. Stinson kept staring at James as he couldn't stop Rajan from escaping the city. James tried his best to avoid direct eye contact with the Colonel. Finally Bose came out of his room. "Hello Sir. My name is Colonel Stinson. This is my subordinate James. The Governor-General is expecting you at the beach for some Tea." he handed out the bouquet and the basket. Bose gave a smile and followed them to the beach. At the beach, there was a small table covered with some high quality cloth and had two chairs with some amazing cushions. The table had a flower vase with orchids, which was the favourite flower of the Governor-General. Bose went near the table and sat on one of the chairs. James brought the newspaper trolley and said, "Sir. The Governor-General will be arriving shortly." and left. Bose started to read all the different newspaper on the trolley as the Governor-General was yet to come. He wanted this meeting to end quickly as he had some other work to do.
The train just stopped and everyone got down to do their work. Drona woke up hearing the train horn. He then tried to wake the others as they have reached their destination. They thought it would be difficult to search Bose, but thanks to the newspapers and Bombay broadcasting radio programme that also started in Calcutta, they were able to know where Bose will be. "Anna.. Madras vachchindhi..!!" The Bandit of Bezawada arrived in Madras.
