Somewhere between Palnadu and Madras.

"Aaaahhhh!! My head hurts...!!"
"They also had guns. How did they get guns?" "Just when you thought of leaving this boring job and join the Air Force, you get beaten up badly for no reason." "It is really paining, especially this bullet wound in my leg. I think I may not walk again." "Don't think like that. We still have to serve this country. Keep this in your mind." "Serving the country... I just hope they don't punish us for losing all the money to those Bandits." conversed Rahman and Sitaram on their way to Madras in the train.

All they had to do was deposit the money collected at the Governor-General's place and return to their quarters for one last time, as they were being recruited for the Royal Indian Air Force by the Britishers. But when they reached the Governor-General's place in Palnadu, they were assigned another task - that of transporting the tax money collected from all over the Madras province to the Governor-General's residence at Fort St.George in Madras.

"We shouldn't have agreed to come all the way to Madras. It was a foolish idea" sighed Sitaram. "How did the Bandits know that money was being transported in this train?" asked Rahman. "At present I am just thinking of healing myself. Anyways there will be some British officer who will be asking these questions to us" said Sitaram. "I am just getting scared as to how they will be reacting to this robbery." Rahman said in a worried tone. "Aaaahhhh!!" shouted Sitaram unable to bear the pain from the bullet wound in his leg. "Wait I will check whether there is any doctor in the other coaches." Rahman left Sitaram and ran towards the other coaches for help.

Meanwhile, Sitaram was just leaning on a hardwood box when he first saw her and her blue eyes. She came towards him and tore a piece of her saree and tightly tied around his thigh to stop the bloodflow. She then took some herbs from a small leather pouch, crushed it and applied it to the wound. Sitaram was in pain, but didn't show it out in front of her.
"Are you a doctor? Or a nurse?" asked Sitaram. She didn't speak a thing, as she was trying to stop the blood from gushing out and applied more herb paste to the wound. "Where are you from? What are you doing on this train? Are you going to Madras?" Sitaram kept asking her questions. But she didn't answer. She was totally focused on applying first aid to the wound.

Rahman returned and saw the whole scene that was happening with Sitaram. "WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?" he shouted. On listening to him, the girl started to run. "Can you at least tell your name?" asked Sitaram. She took a piece of paper, wrote something and threw it towards him. Rahman picked the paper and read the name written in it.

Anamika.
