BOSE
Being an ardent follower of the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Subhash Chandra Bose gave importance to his religion, more than anything else. Yet he was mesmerized by the ideologies of the British. Added to that was the outbreak of World War I which created an impact on his thinking. The soft patriotic guy who left his Indian Civil Service job to stop serving the British, decided that revolting was the only option for getting India it's Independence. And thus began his journey to drive the British out of India. His first step in this mission was to get authority and for that he joined the Indian Youth Congress and worked hard to get elected as it's chairman. Later he joined the Indian National Congress in 1930 as a General Secretary. From there he never looked back and got huge following because of his ideologies. Most of the leaders inside the Congress didn't like Bose's approach but they couldn't remove him from the party. Bose rose to the elite level of political leaders and that made him the President of the Congress as there was pressure from the public. But the inside leaders still had the party in their hands especially those associated with Mahatma Gandhi. They knew Bose will be making mistakes and they were going to use those mistakes to remove him from the party. They just waited till he made one.
Even though Bose was the President of the Congress, he never felt the power and authority. It was more of a name tag for him as it did not work. He never expected to be the President. Yet when he did become the President, he still was feeling the same way like he was feeling before becoming a president. Thankfully, Bose was a broad minded person and had various backup plans in case the main plan failed. And right now he needed the backup as the main plan was not working. The backup called Dai-Nippon Teikoku Rikugun.
Dai-Nippon Teikoku Rikugun was the local name for the ground army of Japan. It became the Imperial Japanese Army after World War I and has so far been involved with wars against the Chinese and the Soviet Union. The Empire of Japan always involved themselves in experimentation in order to improve themselves and make themselves have an upper hand. They wanted to be the front-runners in the war and invented new weapons and new methods to defeat the opponents. One such experiment was the use of the Plague virus as a biological weapon. They tried to use it in Germany during World War I. But everytime they tried to use it, there would be a leak and the Japanese soldiers would die as there was no antidote or medicine to diminish the effects. But Japan didn't stop. They tried all types of combinations to get the antidote and everytime came very close to success.
Bose did research regarding the World War I and found out that the strength of The Imperial Japanese Army was increasing every year. Bose felt they can be useful for India's Independence and decided to meet the Minister of War of the Japanese Empire, which was the authority controlling the Imperial Army. He went to Japan to make a deal. The Japanese gave him a warm welcome. He then met the Minister for implementation of his plan, but the Minister had other plans. He wanted Bose to test a few bio-weapons in India and also assured that they have the antidotes to save the people affected. At first, Bose was hesitant but later he decided to help the Japanese as he didn't want to lose the opportunity of defeating the British. They made an agreement stating that Bose will test few bio-weapons and in return the Empire of Japan will help him overthrow the British Raj from India.
Bose was happy with the agreement even though a few Indians were at risk. He tested the Phase 1 bio-weapon successfully and also secretly provided the antidotes for everyone. There were few deaths here and there but he succeeded in minimizing the damage. But it was the Phase 2 bio-weapon which was a better version of the Phase 1 bio-weapon that created the problems. Bose tested one of the two boxes of Phase 2 bio-weapon in Madras and came back to test the second box also. But the problem here was that the antidote for this weapon was not perfect and his life was on a threat as he was being chased by the Ragmen aka The Bandits of Bezawada, who were waiting to kill him.
