Thor: The Dark World (Loki X Jamie)

Chapter 5: Celebration and Meeting

Thor sat silently as we watched his friends celebrate around him. Thor smiled sadly as he watched Volstagg drink and declare for another as he threw it away. He decided to go to the balcony, where he saw Sif by herself.

"There was a time when you would celebrate for weeks," she said.

"I remember you celebrating the battle of Haragon so much that you nearly started a second," he responded.

"Well the first was so much fun," Sif told them.

Thor and her both smiled at that.

"Take a drink with me. Surely the All Father can have no further task with you tonight?" she requested.

"This is one I set myself," he said.

"It does not go unnoticed that you disappear each night. There are nine realms. The future King of Asgard must focus on more than one," Sif explained.

"I thank you for your sword and for your counsel, good Lady Sif," Thor thanked her.

He left, leaving Sif to stare sadly after him.

Thor made his way to the dungeon and requested for Jamie. The guard went to Loki's cell to see them talking.

"Lady Jamie," the guard called, getting both of their attention, "Your presence is requested by Thor."

"Thank you," Jamie acknowledged.

The guard walked away as Jamie and Loki looked at each other, confused.

"I wonder what he wants," Loki said with annoyance.

"I don't know, but I'll be right back," Jamie replied then added, "Behave while I'm gone."

"I make no such promises," he smirked.

She gave him a warning/teasing glare at him before they both let out light chuckles.

Jamie walked out of the cell and toward the doors that left the prison. She found Thor waiting for her.

"Hi," she greeted.

"Hello. I am Thor Odinson," Thor introduced with his hand out.

"Jamie Dabbs," Jamie said, shaking his hand.

"I just wanted to officially meet you and see how everything was going," he replied.

"Well, things are going much better than I expected," she said.

"Really? I expected him to make your life miserable since you are from Midgard," Thor admitted.

"I didn't expect that, but regardless, I wanted to get to know him," Jamie remarked.

"If you don't mind my asking, why did you volunteer for this position?" he asked.

"Well, despite the invasion, I feel I can relate to him. Behind everything he did, I see why. But I wanted to get to know him and see if I can help him get through this in a positive way," she explained.

Thor nodded in response.

"Well, I'll let you get back to your duties. It was nice to meet you," Thor told her.

"Same with you," Jamie responded.

They went their separate ways and Jamie walked back into Loki's cell.

"What was that about?" Loki wondered.

"Thor wanted to officially meet me," Jamie answered.

He nodded and they got back to their previous conversation.
