From the observatory, Heimdall heard the sound of something approaching. He ran outside after an invisible craft he could hear moving alongside him. He moved up one of the supporters for the bridge and jumped with two daggers. He pierced the ship, which made it become visible. He slid down then pierced the engine with one dagger and it came crashing down.
He made it back to the bridge with relief, since he took out the intruder. But then he saw the Dark Elves' mothership which released more of the smaller ships. He hoped that Asgard would stay standing through this attack.
Asgard sent missiles and their own crafts, but the Dark Elves were getting closer.
Heimdall acted fast and used his sword in the panel to activate an energy shield around the castle. It seemed to be working until Algrim (Kurse) went into the room the machine of the dome was and destroyed it. In doing so, one of the little ships managed to crash into the throne room.
Meanwhile, Thor, his comrades, and Jamie glanced around as the palace shuddered and a rain of dust fell from the ceiling. Thor ran to Jamie, remembering when she got stabbed.
"Jamie, are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she assured.
"But I saw the prisoner stab you and you managed to continue fighting like nothing occurred," Thor insisted.
"Trust me, Thor. I've been through worse," Jamie assured.
"You might want to tell him that," Thor said.
They both looked to Loki, who glanced around with a mildly-uneasy-but-still-fairly-ambiguous-expression until he saw them.
"Stay with him," Thor told her.
She obeyed and went in his cell as Thor left. Loki immediately hugged her, in which she hugged back.
"Did you see?" she asked.
"Yes," he answered.
"You don't have to worry. I've been through worse than that. Look," Jamie said.
They parted and she showed him the area she was stabbed to see the only thing left of it was just an almost faded scar. He noticed more around it, feeling each one.
She lightly chuckled and put her shirt down, saying, "Okay, mister. Don't get any ideas."
"And why not?" he smirked, earning him a small eye roll with a smile from her, then asked, "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I was worried you would think less of me. You still think less of Earth and I didn't want you to think I was weak. I don't know what's inside me, but this is what happens if I get hurt like that. I'm sorry," Jamie explained, bowing her head.
Loki lifted her chin and kissed her forehead.
"My darling, seeing this only made me think more of you. You proved that you're much stronger than Midgard has to offer," he told her.
She smiled as a tear went down her cheek. Loki quickly wiped it away with his thumb and hugged her. Once done, Jamie decided to be on guard duty just in case something else happened.
At the time, Asgardian soldiers cautiously approached the ship that crashed in throne room. The Dark Elves took their time until they got close enough to open fire on them. As the battle ensued, Malekith came out and through grenades that formed black holes and sucked in its victims. He did the same to the throne, saying the Asgardians are no longer in charge of the Nine Realms.
Loki and Jamie noticed everyone leaving the prison without them. The guards urged Jamie to go with them, but she said that Thor told her to stay with Loki, which they agreed to. Even though that was true, Jamie wouldn't leave Loki's side no matter what.
Odin went in the throne room to the place in shambles and the bodies of both sides. Malekith was already gone, but Odin figured out where he was going.
"Frigga," he whispered.
