Back in London, Darcy and Ian were bailing Erik out with the cover that Ian was Erik's son.

"You'll have to sign for your father's belongings, Mr Selvig," the guard told Ian.

Ian wasn't paying attention, so Darcy smacked him.

"What? Oh, yeah. My father, Dr. Erik Selvig," Ian answered unconvincingly.

But the guard nodded and continued, "One man's leather wallet, brown. One keyring, three keys. Prescription medicine... Various. And..."

Darcy saw Erik and exclaimed, "Erik!"

"These," the guard finished, giving Ian scientific tent poles.

"Yeah. Those. Thank goodness," Ian said.

"Erik!" Darcy repeated.

"Yes?" Erik answered blankly.

"It's, uh, Darcy," she clarified.

His eyes widened and hugged Darcy as he remarked, "Darcy. So good to see you!"

"Oh, I missed you too," Darcy responded, returning the hug.

"How did you find me?" Erik wondered.

"You were naked on TV," Ian answered.

"Okay, time to go, lot's to do," Darcy said, but was still stuck in the hug, and commented, "Getting weird now."

They headed outside to head back to their place.

"I should not be left in charge of stuff like this. I don't get paid enough. I don't get paid, period," Darcy stated.

"I'm Ian by the way, uh, Darcy's intern. Yeah, I don't get paid either. Are you alright?" Ian said as Erik took some of his meds.

"I've had a God in my brain. I don't recommend it," Erik responded.

The tent poles then began to beep.

"Dr. Selvig, sir, your gear is beeping at me," Ian informed.

"It's happening. Sooner than I calculated," Erik said.

"Wait, what's happening?" Darcy wondered.

Erik then noticed a flock of birds flying.

"Birds? Birds are happening?" she asked.

"They're starlings. It's called a murmuration. My dad, he used to take me bird watching as a kid," Ian clarified.

"Nerd," Darcy commented.

"Look!" Erik instructed.

The birds vanished in mid-flight.

"Where'd they go?" Darcy wondered.

Then the birds flew out of the ground Darcy, Ian, and Erik were standing on, which made Darcy scream.

"What the hell was that?" Darcy remarked, saw a grin on Erik's face, and demanded, "Why are you smiling?"

"There's nothing more reassuring than realizing that the world is crazier than you are," Erik answered, tossed away his mess in a trash can, and instructed, "Take me to Jane's lab!"
