~ Future Tense V -(으)ㄹ 거예요 1
Grammar Focus:
This pattern is used to express a future plan or intention and means the same as ‘will’ or ‘is going to’ in English. It is formed by adding –(으)ㄹ 거예요 to the stems of verbs. –ㄹ 거예요is used when the verb stem ends ㄹ in or a vowel, and –을 거예요 is used whe the verb stem ends in a consonant.
In Conversation:
A 언제 고향에 돌아갈 거예요? A When will you return to your hometown? B 내년에 골아갈 거예요. B I’ll return next year.
A 주말에 뭐 할 거예요? A What will you do over the weekend? B 자전거를 탈 거예요. B I’ll ride my bike.
