~이/가 아니다

Let's have a review for awhile. On the previous unit lessons, we have talked about the ~은/는, ~이가, ~이것/그것/저것, 무엇, ~의.

Where ~은/는 is a postposition which indicates the subject of the sentence. It is added to a subject, object, adverb, etc... When they don't have a final consonant, it is combined with '~는', and when there is a final consonant, it is combined with '~은'.

~이 / 가 is the subject postposition to indicate that the former noun is the subject of the sentence. When there is no final consonant, it joins with '-가', otherwise it joins with '-이'. When it joins with '저', '나' the personal pronoun ''~가'' becomes '제가' and '내가'.

~이다 is used when the noun is used as a predicate. The declarative form is '입니다' and the interrogative form is '~입니까?'.

~이에요 or ~예요' is followed by a noun to make a declarative statement and/or an interrogative statement.

이것 / 그것 / 저것 - This / That / That ~ These are used for indicating objects like indicative pronouns.

무엇 for questioning and 이것/그것/저것 for answering.

~의' it is the postpositional word to express ownership or belonging and it is usually abbreviated in the conversation. '저의', the possessive form of the personal pronoun is used much more as '제' and '우리의' is used as '우리'.

And now we proceed to ~이/가 아니다

This is the negative form of '~이다'. It is used as a form of '~이/가 아니다' adding to '~이/가'.
