Play this video if you like. I just thought you would enjoy some music while reading and I love this song. Not to mention Luffy's the photo so... on with the story!!!

P.S  Sometimes I want to know the names of songs people put on their fan fictions and I have to go through a lot to find them, so whenever I put up a song without a title, I will put its name either below the song or at the end of the chapter. So this song is called "Legends never die."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was 10 years ago. I don't blame them for not keeping their promises because I chose to be here. To save them. But that's a story for another time. Let's talk about now. Where here is and what I do here. This place is definitely not my home nor is it a suitable place for anybody to live. It's the middle of January right now and I'm walking around with a pair of jeans that are ripped right below my knees, no shoes, a worn out shirt that's showing some of my stomach with rips in it, and my hair blowing in my face from the strong winds. That's right, I'm walking outside with barley anything on, in the middle of January, in the middle of a snow storm. And yet, I don't feel the cold because of being used to the extreme heat and cold.
A few weeks ago was my 18th birthday. I spent it the same way I have with the others for the last 10 years, working in the cold of a ghost town. This place is a work camp and it lives up to it's name. None of us get any breaks unless we get hit by the guards or die. Even then, the restless spirits still wonder around in agony and pain. You can still hear their screams at night, keeping you from sleeping. You could call this place a literal hell or very close to it. Those who run this place like to mess with the people here. But if you really knew what we were, you wouldn't call us people. That's all there is to it.
Right now, I'm carrying a log on my back. I'm making my way to the center of town where I have to put this. Luckily, I'm strong enough that I have no trouble with this; but some others weren't so lucky. You see, for those people who are to old, weak, or are new to this place have a disadvantage. They're the ones that get picked off the fastest and never seen again. That's why no one gets too attached to someone; it makes things a lot easer. But that's not an option for me. I have found out that I have a half sister and she's here with me. We live together, in the same house with a few others because we have to share. Her name is Orihime, or rather was. She died a few years back, to protect me. I haven't gotten close to anyone sense. Of course, my brothers are an exeption. Only I haven't see them in over 10 years.... anyway, back to telling you what's happening here. You're probably tierd of hearing me talk about myself so I'll get on with things.
"Hey. You. P-216X. Get over here with that lumber you flee!!!" Yelled an overweight man with a suit and tie. You're probably wondering why he called me P-216X. Well, none of us are called by our names anymore exept by other prisoners.
I walk over as fast as I can with the log and set it down gently, otherwise they will find an excuse to hit me and I'd rather not get any unwanted attention until needed. I straighten back up and get back to work as soon as I'm done there. Walking over to the work building for the last part of the day, I step inside and receive my last piece of material and drop it off before we are all sent back to our 'houses.' As I walk back, I see that more  people died today. You can see the bodies lining the streets and paths.
I walk in the old, beaten up door and instantly feel better. It may not be all that much warmer in the house, but you can still definitely tell. I sit down on the floor, sense we don't have any furniture, and get ready to go to sleep. I will have to wait for the others to come back to fully go to sleep though because otherwise I'll freeze to death from the cold. Literally. Once they get back, I instantly fall asleep. In the morning it's the same as any other day here. Wake up, eat a small piece of burnt bread, work, eat, work, work, and finally, sleep. It's been the same thing for the last ten years of my life. Exept for the occasional beatings and experimentations or visits/orders from the people that run this place.
"Hey, (Y/N). How do you do it? You get the hardest jobs here, the most orders from the higher ups, and the least amount of sleep than any of us, and yet you still somehow manage to keep going. How?" One of my housemates, Rika asks.
"You could say I'm used to it. The work and lack of sleep. I've had to do it all my life. Even before I had to come to this reched place." I honestly said. No point in keeping any secrets here.
"Really?! I can't even imagine." She replied.
"Yeah... well we should really get some sleep. We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. Maybe something good but I won't get my hopes up to much." Another one of my housemates, Flare said.
"You shouldn't get your hopes up at all. In the nine years I've been here, no ones ever found this place. Best to give up quick before your hopes get crushed in a worse way. But you're still new, only been here a few months, so I wouldn't expect you to know that." Rika said to Flare. Flare looked down at the ground when Rika said that. Almost in a defeated way.
"Good night you two. And Flare, its always good to have at least a little hope here. Otherwise we would all be dead." (Y/N) said. Flare smiled a small smile and went to sleep. Rika just had an emotionless expression, said good night then went to sleep too.
The next day, everything was the same until roll call. They lined up as usual and waited for their numbers to be called when an explosion happened. It happened at the docks. Only new guards or shipments of supplies get sent there. There was most likely just an accident with one of the new supply crates, (Y/N) heard they were supposed to be getting new parts today. But she couldn't help but feel a little hopeful. Maybe someone really did find this place and where here to help. Maybe they could get out of here and live normal lives. Just maybe—
"Quite you pieces of filth! No ones here to save you! This is your home. This is were you belong and this is were you shall stay!! Now quite down and listen for your numbers!" A guard said.
Another explosion erupted and this one was closer. About a mile in front of the docks. If it was just an accident then there wouldn't have been another explosion. Especially so far inland. There had to be something wrong. I could tell that the others were thinking the same thing with all the whispering going around. The guards tried to quiet us but another explosion only made it worse. Closer, still, was that explosion. Then another and another and another. None of them hitting us. They all just circled around the center of town where we all were. No one dared move for fear of a bomb being set off right in the middle of us. When the explosions stopped, everyone was quiet and a thick amount of dust surrounded us making it hard to see. As the dust cleared, everyone looked around at all the destruction left behind. Buildings destroyed, cement ground cracked and blown to shreds, some guards under the rubble surrounding us.
When the dust completely cleared, there were some familiar people standing in front of us. Some people I thought I'd never see again, "Pops?!"
