Brightness woke me from the hell I was entrapped in. I still felt his slimy hands on me, touching me; forcing me.
Abigor was to be my husband.
I shuttered as I climbed out of bed, despite the room not being cold at all. I dressed quickly, pulling on a deep red dress. I just ignored blotchy tear-streaked face I saw in the mirror. I couldn't cry anymore over an asshole. There was no sadness left, only anger remained. It was time I took action.
Clomping down the stairs, I ignored my mother and father calling my name. Cold, unaltered rage ran through my bones as I stormed out of the house.
My family is selling me off to a horrible man, and I didn't have any choice in the matter. Not only did my asshole of a fiancé try to assault me, but he stopped me from seeing the only person I love. The only person I live for.
I began walking (more like stomping) through town. The townsfolk gave me strange, judgmental filled looks, but at that point; I didn't care. I spotted Abigor and his pathetic drunk yard friends in the square, right in front of the fountain. People busied about, buying items from the traveling merchants and loitering about.
I thought I heard a rustling in the trees behind me, but I was too mad to care. I was NOT going to stand by and let some "fiance" of mine assault me.
"ABIGOR!" I screamed, rage oozing from my voice.
His annoying friends hooted and hollered at that, and everyone in the square turned at the sound of my voice. I spotted Marie and Elizabeth in the crowd, but I paid no mind. They were never my family anyways.
Pushing my way to him, I kicked him where the sun doesn't shine.
"AGRH!" He groaned in pain, causing a smirk to appear on my face. Gasps and whispers echoed through the air as townsfolk crowded around us.
"You are a horrible man Abigor, ROT IN HELL!" I snarled. Shouts and profanity began to echo through the crowd.
"She's gone mad"!
"She's always been an odd one"!
"How dare she insult a hero like him"!
"God Adrienne, what did I do to get your feathers all ruffled" He replied in that pitifully annoying voice, yet a knowing glint remained in his eyes.
"YOU- assaulted me yesterday," I screamed, lethal rage filling my blood.
At that point, everyone had gone silent. Absolutely shocked by our exchange.
"That's not true doll, you were the one desperate for me".
"Stop lying Abigor. I'd never wish to marry scum like you" I sneered, not caring that everyone was watching.
"Listen you whore. You're lucky to even be marrying me" Abigor yelled, his face bright red.
"You... you-PIG"! I angrily snarled back, so sick of this act. I snatched the expensive diamond engagement ring from my hand, throwing it at his face.
I could tell he was furious, a shade of crimson coloring his face. He took a step towards me, but his friends held him back, I guess from doing anything in front of all these people. The townsfolk were gawking at my very public and unladylike anger.
"ADRIENNE!" I heard a voice yell from behind me.
I turned around to be met with another furious face; My father.
