Ivy's POV
"What does one wear to a vampire's house?" I ask as I twirl around the mirror in Callie's bedroom.
We had talked to Charlie this morning, and he said it was cool that I stayed here for the remainder of break.
Last we heard from the wizarding world, Black was captured by authorities and sentence to execution, but somehow got loose. This has us both on the edge. We waited for word from Fred.
"I think you look cute."
Callie says as she walks out from her walk-in closet, all dressed up.
I look down at my outfit, borrowed from Callie.

"It's definitely something that I wouldn't think to wear

"It's definitely something that I wouldn't think to wear."
I say in a tight voice.
She laughs and rolls her eyes.
"I like skirts and sweaters. Sue me."
I laugh loudly at that.
"Do you think they will have blood served in wine glasses for us to drink?"
Callie asks, collapsing onto the bed.
"And finger food made out of real fingers?"
I add, laying next to her.
"Ohhh, that would be appetizing."
I laugh.
"Well. Ready to go?"
Callie asks, jumping off the bed.
I sight, not wanting to get up but nod.
We decide to apparate there. We end up in a small field. We are both breathing heavily by the time we land and struggling to stand.
"You came!" We hear a familiar voice scream from the right.
Callie's POV
Alice runs towards us at a human speed. She hugs Ivy, and I can see the discomfort but I just laugh.
"You look so pretty!" Alice screams towards her.
Ivy flinches at her volume but blushes and smiles, looking down.
"Thank you. You do also."
She mutters.
Alice gives her one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen and I can't help but chuckle again at Ivy's awkwardness.
"C'mon!" Alice squeaks, grabbing Ivy's hand and motioning for me to follow.
" You guys have to meet the rest of the family!"
I hesitantly follow but Ivy seems a lot more open to the idea of being around vampires.
I grip my wand on the inside of my sleeve as we make our way up to a large house. I can hear a river raging somewhere close.
Alice skips up the steps and opens the front door, beckoning us to come inside. Ivy let's go of Alice's hand and stands next to me. Alice smiles at us encouragingly.
We share a look, then walk through the doorway.
"We're here!"
Alice screams, running through the entrance.
Ivy hurried to keep up as I continue at a normal pace.
When we all make it to the living room, a group of people are sitting on a set of two couches, still as statues.
"Vamps playing statues?"
I hear Ivy ask and I cover my chuckle with a cough.
"Guys, this is Ivy," Alice says as she pulls Ivy in front of the crowd. I walk up so that I am right behind her, not yet trusting these people.
That's when I see him, sitting as still as stone.
His beautiful face is framed by long blonde hair and he is wearing a button up purple shirt. He is looking down, then his head snaps up. His eyes are a beautiful gold color.
My breathe catches in my throat. I feel a pull towards him.
"I knew it!" I hear Alice scream, pulling me out of my gaze.
"Callie? Are ya good, mate?"
Ivy asks from my left.
I just nod and keep eye contact with the man.
"And this is Callie Swan!"
The blonde girl on the right of the man hisses.
"So she's that girl's sister? The one that made Edward leave?"
"So you've met Bella?"
I say and the blonde nods, still giving me a glare.
"Not saying you should like her, cause I don't really even know her, but she is my sister. I would appreciate if you would speak about her with respect when I am present, at least."
I say, now making eye contact with her.
She looks like she is about to say something more, but just nods. I think I see a smile.
"Well, go ahead and mingle!"
Alice says and takes Ivy to meet a couple other people.
I stand there, my arms over my chest.
"Excuse me, ma'am? I was wondering if you would mind taking a tour with me? After you meet everyone."
I look to see the man with the nice face.
"I would be delighted, sir. I'm Callie."
I say, holding out the hand that isn't holding my wand against my sleeve.
"I'm Jasper." He says back, taking my hand. "The blonde you told off was Rosalie."
I shrink a little.
"I didn't mean to tell her off. I just feel like I should defend Bella. Her being my sister and all."
Jasper gives a little smirk and nods.
"I think she likes you." He comments.
I smile towards him.
"Who's the big one next to her?"
I ask him, motioning towards a teddy bear looking man who is waving widely our way.
"That's Emmett. You'll love him."
"I'm sure I will." I say with a laugh as I watch him continue to wave
"Then, the older looking man and woman are Esme and Carlisle. They are our parents for all purposes."
He explains. I make an ahh face and nod.
"And the Edward guy?"
I ask.
"He left. Your sister ended up being his blood singer."
I nod, looking down.
"It's-"
"I know. I did some research on your kind last night. Talked to my grandfather."
I had demanded Dumbledore to apparate from England last night so I could ask him a few questions.
He told me about blood singers, left me a few books, and told me about mates.
"So, I'm your mate?"
I ask as we walk away from the crowd. If he could choke on air, he would.
"How did you-"
He starts,
"My grandfather told me a few other things too."
I simply answer, as I follow him up the stairs, chuckling at the display of graduation caps.
"And you're a witch?"
He asks hesitantly.
"That I am."
We walk down the hall and to a closed room.
"Is this yours?"
I ask, motioning towards the door. He nods and reaches for the knob. It reveals a spacious room with a leather couch and hundreds of books.
I walk through the door and walk to one of the book shelves. I pick up a random book and see it is about the Civil War, so are the three next to it.
"So I am guessing you are from the Civil War Era?"
I ask, raising an eyebrow.
He laughs, his laugh sounding like a melody.
"You guessed correctly."
I smile and nod.
I sit down on the leather couch and he sits on the other end.
"So-" I start, "Is Ivy-" it's hard for me to think of a way to ask.
"Is Ivy Alice's mate?"
It feels awkward to ask this about my best friend.
"Yes. Alice has been waiting for a long time for her."
He answers, and I nod.
"Callie? I know we just met but I know you only intend to stay for another week-"
"I will come back."
I say before he can finish and he smiles a little, nodding.
"I know. I was just wondering, would you go on a date with me?"
He looks nervous.
I smirk and nod, looking at my hands.
"Sweet."
