Snape's POV
I pick her up off the wooden floor, taking in her beauty again. I cannot help but think of my Lily.
When she came to me saying she was pregnant, I felt all the hope leave my heart. However, when she told me it wasn't Potter's, I thought just maybe she would finally leave him.
"Promise to look after her, Severus. Please." She had begged.
I had hesitantly agreed, just like I did with the Potter boy. Callie was easier to like, and way easier to love.
As a child, I can remember watching her for Dumbledore while he was away. She wouldn't remember it, but I remember every second I got to spend with her. She was the closest I had to my Lily.
I open the door to my room and set her down on my bed as gently as possible.
She seems to stir a little but doesn't wake.
"She's safe, Lily." I whisper as I push a hair away from the young girl's face.
I go and sit in the chair in the corner, planning out my next lecture and how I would embarrass Potter next. All of a sudden, there is a knock at the door.
I go to open it and Dumbledore appears on the other side.
"Severus! Have you seen Callie? She was not at dinner and Harry said she went up to the Owlery. I went to go check on her and she was nowhere to be found!" The old man looks worried as I have ever seen him. How could he not be? Callie is really Dumbledore's daughter. He was the one who raised her.
I motion for him to follow me and I lead him to my bedroom where Callie is sound asleep.
"She fainted when I found her in the Owlery." Is all I said.
The old man raises his eyebrows.
"You told her the truth?" He asks, already knowing the answer. I sigh and nod.
Dumbledore smiles a little and nods.
"Good, Severus. She deserves to know."
Both of us turn to Callie as she starts to wake. She sits up but stops, holding her head.
"Easy, my child." He says, stopping Callie from moving any further.
"Grandfather? Where am I?"
"Rest, child. You are safe." Was all he said. He examined her head, as I walked up behind him to look at the damage.
A nasty bruise had already start to form.
I look away, and walk towards my ingredients to make a healing potion.
"Relax, Severus. Callie will be fine. She wouldn't drink that stuff even if you paid her." Dumbledore states, sitting in my chair.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
"Callie doesn't believe in healing potions unless it is an absolute necessity. She wants to feel human. Something the two of you have in common." The old man adds, stroking his beard.
Maybe this child was like me after all.

Callie's POV
I dream of him a lot,Voldemort. Sometimes he is trying to kill me, others he is torturing me. This one, he's killing Harry and this has honestly have to be the worst one yet. I know I am screaming, I always scream and wake people up with my dreams.
I suddenly feel someone shaking me.
"Callie? Baby, c'mon." I hear a voice say. Suddenly, I lurch out of my sleep and am being shaken by Cedric.
"Ced." I get out, trying to breathe. He lets go of my shoulders and starts to rub my arm.
"It's okay. I'm here. It was only a nightmare."
I move over, making room for him to lay, like I always do.
He lays down next to me, and I curl into him.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He whispers.
I pause for a minute, thinking of something to say.
"Do you think someone is going to die soon?"
He looks down at me in surprise but shakes his head.
"No, love. We will all be fine." He answers, and I wish I could believe him.
