Cassia's POV
_________
Tangled hair, tired eyes but fully awake.
Cassia carefully brushed the knots out of her hair. She looked like she had just awoken from a deep, deep sleep.
Which was true, she felt great, her skin was still warm from the covers but her voice still felt heavy from sleep.
She drew back the blinds of the living room and let rays of sunshine pool into the room. She got onto the tips of her toes and stretched her arms out into the air as if she was desperately trying to reach something.
A sunny Thursday afternoon. Still awfully cold but Spring was starting to knock at the heavy doors of Winter, at last.
Cassia hated Winter with a passion. She hated snow and frozen sidewalks, she hated burning her tongue on hot tea or when her reading glasses got fogged up as soon as she stepped off the bus to college.
Everything was shittier in Winter, colder, duller, more tiring..
Most of all she hated Christmas. Pretty much any family holiday to be fair but Christmas was by far the worst of them. Shudders ran over her body when thinking about her family.
Christmas is long gone, February is almost over and with that Winter too, will soon be gone.. Cassia told herself, to swat the depressing thoughts of Winter away.
Not thinking about that now, we decided today was gonna be good. She thought to herself and let the sunshine outside bring a smile to her face.
Her apartment was a mess. Kitchen messy from dinner last night, the living room floor covered with bits of popcorn and smudged chocolate and the couch looked exactly like Cassia had left it last night or this morning.. minus a certain tall boy.
No time now.. Cassia sighed. Jin was gonna be there any minute to pick her up. When I get back.
She cursed when she checked the time. Any second now. She hastily brushed her teeth whilst rummaging through her closet. Nothing to wear, great, add 'doing laundry' onto the list of things to do.
She pulled out her last clean shirt and a simple black cardigan, she was not ready to deal with the discomfort of skinny jeans quite yet so she just slipped some black leggings on.
Does the cardigan cover my butt? She ran to the mirror and checked. Yep, we're good.
With a loud thud her apartment door was pulled, no, ripped open.
"Guess who's heeere?"
"For fuck's sake, Jin! HOW MANY TIMES-"
"Come on, time's gold!" Jin strutted over to where Cassia was standing, one hand tightly clutched over her heart, completely ignored her protests and pulled her to his car.
