"Razzel, do me a favor and get me my phone from the drawer upstairs please?" Patrick looked at Razzel who was brushing Allison's hair.
She nodded and put her doll to the side and jumped up.
A couple minutes later, Razzel came back down stairs with the phone and a little bottle. "Daddy, what is this?" she handed Patrick his phone and me the bottle.
It was the bottle of lube. I looked at Patrick. "You keep this in the same drawer as your phone? I thought we talked about this..." I said.
Patrick looked up and his eyes widened. "I told you to grab my phone. Nothing else." Patrick looked at Razzel.
"Its just a funny looking tube!" Razzel giggled.
Patrick and I couldn't help but chuckle a little. "But we still talked about it." I said to Patrick.
"It must've fallen the last time... and I didn't see it." Patrick shrugged and went back to his phone.
I stood up and walked upstairs to put the bottle away. Little did I know I had company.
"You never answered my question." Razzel took my hand.
"I'll explain when you're older." I said simply, stopping. I didn't want her to see where we keep it in fear she would try to find it again... that would be awkward.
"How much older?" Razzel titles her head.
"Much... Much older." I said.
"What is it, though?"
"That's what I'll explain..." I said.
Razzel shrugged and ran back downstairs.
Patrick came upstairs a couple minutes later. "We need to sit down and talk with her. She's nine, Pete."
"And?" I looked over my shoulder at him.
"C'mon, Panda... I bet you were curious when you were younger."
I shrugged. "Not really. My mind was set more on video games and music." I replied.
"Don't forget make up!" Razzel happily bounced into the room. "C'mon, Pwetty Pwease, Panda!" She gave me the puppy dog face.
I rolled my eyes. "Why are you so curious?"
She shrugged. "I'm young, happy... innocent... I don't know much... but I've heard you guys call me innocent a lot... what does that mean?" she jumped up on our bed.
I laughed. "It means you're a good girl. And if you wanna stay that way, I suggest you listen to everything we say... got it?"
She nodded and held her arms up.
I picked her up.
"I thought innocent was like that thing when we're watching Law and Order, You're innocent until proven guilty..."
I looked at Patrick and he shrugged, turning and walking out of the room.
I kissed her forehead. "You're way to smart for your own good." I said, following Patrick.
She giggled as she played with my hair. "You should part your hair to this side..." Her small hands worked at moving my hair around. "Ooh! You should dye your bangs red! So that way, we can be some what matching!" She wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me.
I laughed. "I should?"
"It'll work with your girlish appearance!" she giggled at her joke.
"Hey," I feigned hurt. "I look cuter than you!" I joked. She shook her head. "Nuh-uh!"
"What makes you say that?" I asked.
"I'm nine... nine year olds are always cuter that guys who look like girls..."
"Why don't you ever pick on Patrick?" I whined.
"Because... he's no fun..." she hugged me again. "I love you, daddy."
I laughed again. "I love you too, Sweety."
