Rose
Rose gazed into the floor length mirror, a devious smile playing on her lips at she stared at her reflection. She was dressed to impress, but there was only one person whose opinion mattered tonight. She chose this outfit on purpose, trying to find something that would get a reaction out of Damian. She needed to know if he felt anything for her, anything real, and if he did, this was the outfit to do it.
The black jeans were skin tight, torn up around her thighs and knees, hugging her ass in a way that even the coldest of men would appreciate. The light gray crop top she wore stopped just below her belly button, leaving enough skin exposed to avoid making her look trampy, but showing off her newly renovated body at the same time. It was strapless, and the dangly belly button ring she wore poked out just below the hem of the shirt, glinting in the light of her room.
Her long brown hair floated around her shoulders in soft curls. Her makeup was light, as always, but she had put more time into doing it and her hair to make sure her entire get-up was perfect.
Rose let her body relax, something that she had found hard to do lately. It had been only a few days since the Demons attacked her and Carter. She was tired, exhausted to be completely truthful. Nightmares haunted her every minute of sleep, images of Carter being slain in front of her on repeat every time she closed her eyes. It didn't help that he was completely avoiding her. Mira promised she was checking on him, keeping him safe, but it wasn't enough. Rose needed to see for herself, but Carter had told her he needed time alone. Time to process. Rose had no choice but to oblige.
Her phone chirped beside her, shaking her from her thoughts. Rose picked it up, glancing at the screen and finding a text message from Mira telling Rose that she was waiting for her outside her apartment. Throwing a leather jacket on to avoid the cool weather outside, Rose applied a layer of lip-gloss before leaving her apartment.
Miras sleek BMW sat idling at the curb. Rose slipped in the passenger door, smiling as Mira let out a low whistle. "Are you trying to break my brothers heart?"
Rose snapped her seatbelt on before giving Mira a killer smile. "That's the intention."
Rose was determined to ignore all of her other problems, be that a friend who thought she was a monster, or the fact that there was an army of Demons who were making it very clear that they wanted her dead. She was instead only going to focus on one problem, and that problem was tall, dark, and incredibly hot.
"Lord help him." Mira mumbled, before slipping the car into drive and taking off down the road, headed in the direction of the club.
Mira looked perfect, as always. Despite the weather slowly turning to winter, she was dressed in tight black leather pants and a white tank top that plunged dangerously low, no jacket to protect her from the cold. Another guardian perk; the more you used your magic, the less the elements affected you. Rose had yet to master that skill.
When they arrived at the front of the club, Roses heart shot straight to her throat. No matter how confident she felt, the idea of seeing Damian was scaring her senseless. He had such a hold on her emotions, and he didn't even know it.
Mira threw the keys to the valet driver before linking her arm with Roses. Before he could drive off, Rose threw her jacket to the valet driver, politely asking him to stick it in the car for her. The poor guy just nodded his head, blown away by Roses dazzling smile. Let's just hope that's Damians reaction.
Just like the first time they were here, the two girls slipped through the doors, right past the line of people waiting to enter the club, with just a simple nod of the head from Mira directed towards the bouncer. Rose had been informed that Miras family did not in fact own this club. Instead, it was owned by fellow Guardians, so all other Guardians got a VIP pass straight through the doors.
