                The death of small

I got up off the floor and we left Hayes to rest. We went across the hall to talk to Ashlynn.

knock knock knock

The door was open so we decided to go in. Ashlynn was sitting up in bed crying her eyes out.

"Is everything ok, what happened?", Courtney asked desperately hoping for ashlynn to answer .

Its my...my...my" she bursted into another fit.

The nurse walked in at the moment and escorted us out.

"What happened to her?" asked Courtney solemnly.

"Ashlynn was pregnant and during the bomb blast her baby died.

The poor thing won't stop crying, but there is nothing to be done." with that the nurse sighed and walked away.

Omg, Courtney and I stood there for quite some time. We finally left and went home.

"Do you think Hayes knows yet?", I asked.

"Well, if Hayes hasn't proposed yet, then no, he doesn't." She said coldly.

I walked upstairs slower than usual.

I only turned around to see Courtney staring at me.

"Courtney.", I asked scared.

I jumped the 4 steps I had climbed and fell to her side just in time to catch her.

Her head felt like a grill.

I grabbed a thermometer and took her temperature,

             105°F

I raced the car carrying her bridal style.

I placed her in the back and jumped into the drivers side.

I raced to the hospital and carried her bridal style into the hospital.

"She has a temperature of 105!!", I yelled into the lobby. Two nurses raced in with a stretcher and laid her down on it. The raced into The double doors and ran down the hall way with her. I was left in the lobby talking to girl Behind the counter. Nothing interesting. Nothing unusual.

"Courtney". A nurse yelled.

"Anybody here for a Courtney"

I walked up to her.

"Yup. me"

Follow me, she whispered.

I followed her into the elevator.

She hit the second and third button.

         Ding

         Ding

We got out on the second floor and I followed her down a long hallway. We went into the last room on the right and Courtney was sitting there with an ice pack on her head. Her room was freezing.

"her fever is now 101 and she is going to be fine.

This was brought on by stress. Has she received any bad or unusual news?" the nurse asked, not seeming to care as she sighed.

"Yeah, our best friend's baby had died.

that'll do it the nurse said. She walked way and I felt very dizzy.

The other nurse noticed and helped me to sit down on the other bed. She felt my head.

"Oh my" she gasped.

She put an ice pack on me but I took it off.

"Keep this on", she whispered."Ill be right back".

I took it off and stood up.

Everything went black. My head hit the radiator. Hard.

Hard. Hard.
