continued
We woke up late and it had stopped raining. We went upstairs and chilled out for a while. The power was still out so we just watched a movie. We put in The Heat. We watched it for a good hour until the wind got super bad. We took the movie downstairs and finished it. When it was over we could still hear the wind. A couple trees had fallen Down and th rain came down harder and harder. We still haven't heard from Ashlynn or Hayes and we are worried, but we're sure they are fine. The rain was pelting the Windows and soon turned into hail. The temperature had dropped alot in the past few days. I half expected it to snow. The hail came down in baseballs and was smashing Windows and cracking into mini prices on the road. One piece smashed through the basement window and our parents had to patch it up with wood. Rufus was hiding under the Billard table to afraid to come out. As the weather got worse the radio started to fade.
The last thing we heard from it was that a tornado had just hit Georgia. My mom had suggested we go to the airport to be with other people and we all agreed. We went upstairs and and got into the car. We had to take Angie' s dad's truck and my mom's car. It took about 20 minutes to get there and the weather got worse. When we arrived there weren't alot of cars. We walked inside and sat down near other people. We saw Ashlynn and Hayes' s family all together and we joined with them. We walked around and just talked. We could see the rain hitting the roof through the glass. I really hope the glass in the roof doesn't smash. The thunder got louder as the lightening got closer to the ground. The hotel down the road was hit with lightening and was burning. The police, ambulance, and fire trucks were there trying to control it. There were news reporters everywhere. It was serious. It was bad. It had been going on for a week and our radio signal was better. We could now hear it again and it was getting worse in Georgia. The clean up had started and they were slammed with a hurricane and another tornado. From the looks of it. We were in for the worse. As the Wind started screeching Chuck grabbed Christy and I grabbed Angie. All four of us crouched under a table. Some of the metal frames that held up the roof started to shake and 5 fell. 2 fell on the table we were under and the other 3 fell on the floor in front of us. The roof that was above the frames arched downward causing 2 lines to rip open and let rain in. The rain was getting in badly and we had to move to the other side of the airport. There wasn't much to see other than the woods and the rain. And more rain. And some hail. The sky was getting blacker by the second and the winds were picking up. The rain fell harder and some snowy flakes fell down all around us. There was hail thrown in too. The thunder and lightning kept up louder and faster. We were in alot of trouble.
