Chapter 12

I woke up practically all the way on top of Colby. I looked at the alarm clock and it was supper time. I laid back down wanting to sleep life away. Sam came running up the stairs and walked in.

"Uhhhhhh... Pizza is here?" He said awkwardly. I looked at him.

"Okay, we'll be right down." Colby said sleepily. Sam left the room. We both sat up and went downstairs. We grabbed a paper plate and some pizza.

"What did I walk into up there?" Sam said hinting at Colby.

"She asked me to stay in the room so I did."

"So nothing happened?" Sam wiggles his eyebrows at Colby.

"No, nothing happened." I said laughing a little. I forgot I was beat up and winced at the pain laughing gave me. I've never been hurt this bad in my life before. It sucks.

"Do I have to go to school tomorrow?" I ask Colby.

"I'm sure if you call the school tomorrow morning and explain what happened they wouldn't mind you staying home a couple days." He answered.

"Knowing my luck I'll probably only be able to have tomorrow off." I add.

"Well don't jinx yourself!" Sam kind of yelled.

"I'm sorry but it's true! I don't have much luck. I only had enough luck to become friends with you guys." I thought to myself for a couple seconds in the silence we were sitting in.

"And enough luck for Rylee to start picking on me." I added quietly. They both looked at me. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked after a little bit. Colby's face lit up.

"I think I know who beat you up." Sam and I stare at Colby for a little bit. "I think Rylee did it. I have seen him beating the hell out of someone before. They were sent to the E.R."

I'm glad I didn't end up like that person. If he would've kept beating me up I'd have a couple broken bones, more bruises, more shit to be insecure about. All three of us ended up sitting in silence for what seems like an eternity. By the time I realized I was staring off into space my pizza was cold, I don't like cold pizza. But I still ate it.
