Time stilled. The world around Peter blurred. His heart stopped and he couldn't breathe. Peter didn't hear the cries of the lost boys, nor their renewed vigor in fighting the pirates, forcing them into surrender. He didn't notice Mr. Smee dragging Hook's body away. He didn't notice any of it and he didn't care. The only thing cared for was the girl lying crumpled in his arms. "E… Emily?" Peter's voice shook. "Emily!" Peter scooped her up, holding her protectively close to his heart. His thumb came back bloodied. He sought the entry point, praying feverishly it had not punctured the uterus. Emily shuddered in Peter's hand. The bullet had missed their baby by some miracle. "... Destiny... She's... She's safe..." She cringed and drew in a shaking breath. He nodded and swallowed, knowing the best he could do was keep pressure on the wound.  "Hey," Peter cupped her face and kept her gaze locked on his. "Stay with me." He pleaded.  Tiger Lily rushed over and quickly held up a cloth that had a strong scent. "This will help her sleep so we can treat her wounds." Peter nodded before planting a trembling kiss on Emily's forehead, "You'll both be okay, Emily, I promise." That was the last thing Emily heard before the cloth was gently held over her mouth and nose, and she slipped into a deep sleep. Suddenly Peter felt a wet spot on his palm. "Oh, dear... I think your little one's decided to come out a little early." "What?! Now?! But it's not due for another few weeks!' Slightly yelped. Peter scooped up his army and bolted off like a rocket, wanting to reach land before his baby came...
Emily wandered along the stream. Suddenly she noticed a green figure emerge from the bushes. "Peter...is that you?" The figure stepped into the sunlight and Emily was shocked to see a girl younger than her standing in front of her. The strange girl was almost a mirror copy of Peter, from the clothes to the bold red hair. But she had Emily's facial shape and her blue eyes. A sword hung from the girl's belt, while a bow and quiver of arrows hung off her back. "You look just like Peter, but with-" "Your eyes and face?" Emily was taken back by the girl finishing her sentence. "How could you know that? I don't even know who you are."  The girl smiled and held Emily's hand, "Don't worry about that. We'll be properly introduced in a few moments. Neverland's gonna need us three more than ever for it's survival." "I don't-" Emily was cut off by the girl hugging her tightly. "I can't wait to properly meet you... Mom..."the girl whispered. That was when Emily understood everything, "Des...Destiny...?" But the forest around her changed to black... Peter hadn't moved since Emily was brought back to the hideout, and his beautiful baby girl had been born while she was still out of it. He opted to stay, keeping watch, their silent sentinel. Peter turned on his side and watched the gently rise and fall of Emily's chest. Relief flooded through him each time she drew a breath. Turning to lay on his back, Peter clasped his hands behind his head and blew out a long breath. The toll of the past few days finally catching up with him. There had been so much adrenaline coursing through his veins that he had hardly had time to stop and think, which was good. He didn't know if he wanted to think. Now that things had settled down, his mind was starting up again. Hook. Hook was gone. Peter didn't know if he felt relief, or what he felt. His age old enemy was finally defeated, that stirred strange thoughts of loss. But when Peter thought about what Hook had done to his beautiful wife and nearly  done to his baby girl, his blood boiled and he was glad Hook was gone. Forever. Never to hurt those he cared about again. Emily. He had lost her for a moment there. Never had he felt such depth of emotion, and that terrified Peter. The loss had been heart wrenching and so painful, he would rather die than go through that again. But on the other hand the joy he felt after was equally as powerful. It was all so new, so strange. There was so much to explore, so much to learn. This was all new territory, when it came to the feelings he had towards Emily. But one thing was for sure, he was over the moon. It scared him a little how much one silly girl had taken hold of him. She meant everything to him, she was the reason behind his crow, and she was his home. A soft moan shook Peter from his worrying. He smiled turned on to his side and watched Emily's eyes flutter open. "Good Morning my little gemstone." Peter said softly, brushing a lock of hair out of Emily's eyes. "How long was I out of it?" Emily asked. "Oh, a few hours. Anyway, I think it's time someone got meet you." Peter gently moved the blanket down so it stopped at his  bare stomach. "Oh. Oh God." She said shakily and through a smile. She couldn't think of anything to say as she stared at the baby sleeping while peacefully nestled against her husband's bare chest, and her heart stopped completely when he gently put their baby in her arms. "Oh Creator. Look at her. H-hey there. Baby girl... You're so beautiful little one." She bent her head and gently kissed the baby's head, the fluffy but slightly straight hair shinning a bright red in the light. She grinned lovingly at Peter. "I saw her, only she was fourteen year old. Other than my eyes and my face, she looked exactly like you.."  Peter smiled lovingly as he curled a hand around his two beautiful girls, and pressed them close to his chest, right over his heart.
"She's perfect..." Peter kissed Emily's head softly, "I know, she's our little angel... Our little Destiny..." Soon the two new parents had drifted off to the land of dreams with their child sleeping safely between them.
