Cobblepot's Forbidden Love: 29. Galavan

"You are Nessita, right?" Ms. Thompkins said from inside the car, I nodded as I watched Oswald and Gordon talk "Do me a favor? Try to keep a eye on Gordon until this is over. I heard from HArvey that you protect innocent's."

"I do" but, Jim Gordon isn't innocent, I thought.

She laid a hand on my arm and I looked down at her "Please. Everybody makes mistakes. But, just keep a eye on him, please" she said, I looked down at her and nodded. She took her hand off my arm and put her hands on the steering wheel "I ...overheard you and Mr. Cobblepot talking, Ms. Maroni.. he wasunder Galavan's orders ...maybe he didn't want to."

She trailed off and I sighed "I've watched him kill before ...I know he enjoyed stabbing me just a little bit" I said before walking off, I twisted my neck from side to side as Gordon walked to Ms. Thompkins, that left me alone with Penguin.

HE was looking right at me "You do know there is a chance on of ill probably get shot or-"

"I'm not kissing you" I told him sternly making him roll his eyes.

I stared at him "I don't want a kiss. I want a hug" he said plainly, I gave him a look "If ..we won't be together after this, I just want to hug youone last time" I watched him and then looked at his hands to make sure there was no knife or anything, his hands were free of any weapons at the moment.

I reached out and hugged him hard and his arms circled my back, I stiffened when his hands touched the stab wound, he kissed my head "I still love you. Whether or not you love me at all, I was just happy to hear you say it before ...before you died from my stabbing you."

I did? I said that? I looked up at him confused but he took that as I was pulling away form him and he put his hands on his gun, before looking towards Gabe.

IT hit me then, I told Oswald Cobblepot I loved him.

"All right. Everybody set? Let's go."

"Whoa, whoa. What's the plan?"

I crossed my arms with my 22 slung over my shoulder, I looked at Oswald "We get into that building, find Galavan, put a gun in his mouth until he gives up Bruce. Then I kill him slowly" Oswald said, I sighed as the bickering went on.

"No. Then we arrest him."

"Yeah, no. Are you nuts?" Oswald told Jim "After all that he has done?"

"He's going to stand trial. Gotham needs to know who he really is-"

"Gotham needs him dead!" Oswald argued.

"Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit. Can we just stop the bunny and just first get in there, please, chaps?" the man who Jim introduced as Alfred said, clearly wanting to find Bruce Wayne, I always respected the Waynes, Bruce's mother was always kind. I wish I could have stopped it that night but I was out of town with Zsasz.

"Yes. Let's go."

"Seriously, that's it? You have no plan? How are you even going to get into the building?"

"I know a way" a girl probably the age of fifteen or fourteen came in through the window.

"Who is she?" Lucious Fox asked, I smiled at the young girl named Selina Kyle.

"Fox, that's Cat. Cat, Fox."

"You know a way in?" Gordon asked her.

"Yeah. I know a way in, Gordon" she said as she looked at me and pointed a finger "You have been off the streets for awhile, Nessy."

They all looked at e and I shrugged "What? I kept her from stealing ..sometimes" I said lowly.

"How do we know you haven't stitched us up? I mean, you've switched sides often enough. How do we know that you're not working with Galavan now?" Alfred asked.

"How do I know you're not a Martian in a rubber suit?" Selina shot back.

I smiled as I looked at them "I trust her."

"I trust her" Gordon said and nodded "You're in, Cat. Thanks for your help. Grab a vest and let's go."

"People, surely we should have a backup strategy, given the strong possibilities of failure" Mr. Fox said making PEnguin smile cheerfully, oh shit "Au contraire, Mr. Fox. Failure is not an option!"

What kind of whackos do I hang out with again? I remind myself everyday by looking at Oswald.

"What he said. As you like."

WE all moved out and to Galavan's penthouse, I was ready to kill and go in when Penguin put a hand to my shoulder, I looked at him "BE careful, Ness" he whispered, I stared at him before nodding.

"Same to you Mr. Cobblepot."

He frowned at my words but we walked into the building and climbed stairs, HArvey was behind me and he groaned as he looked up at the stairs "Oh for Pete's sake!"

The only thing I heard as we neared the penthouse was "DEath to the son of Gotham" my only words were "What the hell?!" and "Is that a monk?" before looking at the poor kid tied to the thing in the middle of the room. Are these people high?

Don't tell me Henry was here to givve them drugs either, I really can't deal with him right now.

I looked for Galvan and saw there was no other way out of the penthouse, I saw GOrdon and followed him but, Galavan wasn't my main concern. I smirked and looked aorund before turning in the oppisite direction and found Theo's vault, I easily cracked the code -Quickly- and opened it up. I smiled at all the money and took a bag from the floor as I heard shouting.

I quickly put enough of his money in the bag before going to the window, it was a long drop down but I threw down the bag and I jumped down from the window, I reached and grabbed onto a fire escape.

I mean, did they really think I was going to help that little bastard Penguin kill Galavan? Nope, I don't need that on me. Like I said a eye for a eye and I hope he ends up in Arkham.

I landed on the ground and took off running after I grabbed my bag, I knew PEnguin wouldn't wait on me like I owuldn't wait on him.

I guess this truly is the end of us ...all the way around.
