"Let's go Clover!" I say jumping out of the car and running inside. He follows me and mama is close behind us.
"This is our home!" I say taking his leash off.
"Here's his toys," mommy says. I grab a tug rope and start playing with him. I see mommy taking pictures of us.
"Smile for the camera!" she says. I pull clover into a hug and smile big.
"Absolutely adorable!" Mama says. I blush lightly.
"Mama he needs food and water," I say.
"Very responsible of you! Lets go to the kitchen," I follow mommy as she carries the big bag of food.
"Okay very careful when you pour the food into the bowl," mommy says helping me. Clover instantly starts eating. I giggle.
"He's hungry!" I say excitedly. Mama giggles.
"Okay now let's put his bed in your room," she says.
"Can he sleep in my crib?" I ask.
"For now, but soon he'll be too big," I sigh.
"Why can't he be a puppy forever?" I say.
"Everything grows up, except my little boy. You're my baby forever," mama says. I get excited.
"I little forever!" I say jumping around. Clover gets excited too and starts jumping up on me.
"He wants to play!" I get on the floor and play with him. Mommy ruffles my hair then goes to make lunch. I reach for Clover's toys and throw him a ball.
"Fetch!" I say. He runs after the ball but fails to return it.
"Cloveeerrr!" I exaggerate. Mommy chuckles.
"Maybe you should chase after him," she says. I get up and run after him and the ball.
"Come back buddy!" I shout. I accidentally trip on the floor. Before I can cry Clover starts licking my face.
"Its okay! I'm okay!" I say laughing. We play for a little while longer then mommy calls me to eat. She made me chicken tenders, mac n cheese, and peas.
"Yucky peas!" I say when mommy puts my bib on.
"If you want a cookie you'll eat them," she says. I gasp. I really want a cookie. Mommy sits next to me and I eat my food. She gets a phone call and has to step away. I giggle mischievously when I get an idea.
"Clover," I call. He jumps up and runs to the table.
"Want some peas?" I say scooping them onto the floor. He sniffs them then walks away.
"They're good!" I say lying. He looks at them again then goes to find mama.
"Oh well!" I say eating the rest of my food. When mommy comes back to the table I see her chuckle.
"Baby, why is there peas on the floor?" she asks.
"Clover wanted them," I say.
"Honey, puppies don't eat peas," Mama says getting the broom. She sweeps up the peas then throws them away.
"You got away with it this time. You're lucky you're cute," she says sitting down. I smile big.
"Okay cutie let's get ready for bed!" Mommy says at 9:30. I sigh and put away my colored pencils.
In the bath Clover tries to jump in. Twice.
"Silly puppy! This is my bath time!" I say. As soon as I say that he sits in the corner and watches.
"Good boy!" Mommy says.
"I a good boy too?" I ask mama.
"Of course baby, you're the best baby in town,"she says helping me climb out of the tub. She dries me and changes me into my nini diaper. After I'm in my PJs I climb into my crib.
"Clover!" I call. I hear his paws walking down the hallway.
"Come on up!" I say to him. Mama lifts him into the crib. He's confused at first then he lays down right next to me.
"Are my two boys ready for bed?" Mommy asks.
"Yes mommy! I'm gonna sleep like an angel!" I say happily.
"Okay baby, go nini," mommy says kissing my forehead. She turns on my mobile then my nightlight. When she leaves Clover starts snoring lightly.
"Nini puppy," I whisper before falling asleep.
