I wake up before mama. I decide to go get dressed and make a bowl of cereal.
"What should I wear?" I ask Clover. He doesn't respond, just continues to chew on his toy. I sigh to myself, he was no help. I decide on a green T-shirt with a dino on it. I look around my room and find my training pants. I match it with khaki above the knee shorts and a green paci.
When I look in the mirror I feel like a big kid! I take a picture and send it to Mommy.
After my bowl of cereal mama still isn't awake. I wander into our room and wake her up.
"Mama! I got dressed and ate breakfast!" I say proudly. Mama sits up and smiles at me. Then she sneezes
"Mama sick?" I ask. Mama sneezes again.
"No, Mama is not sick. Mama has a lot of errands to do today," she says with another sneeze. My eyes go wide.
"Nope! Mama stay in bed and get better, I go get you breakfast," I say leaving the room before she can argue. When I get to the kitchen I call Mommy.
"Goodmorning my lil prince," she says answering the phone. I get blushy but try to ignore it.
"Mommy it's a 'mergency!" I say loudly.
"And what's the emercency?" she asks. I tell her that mama is sick and we need Mommy to be an adult.
"And if you don't come over right now my life is ruined!" I conclude. Mommy chuckles.
"Well no one wants that, I'll be there in 30 minutes," Mommy says. I wait forever for Mommy to get here, then she finally does!
"Hurry! Come in!" I say grabbing Mommy's hand and dragging her to me and Mama's room.
"Mama! I had to call Mommy because she's a smart adult. Mommy look! Mama sneezing and has a sore throat and went through half a box of tissue!" I say.
"I'm fine, baby," Mama says attempting to get out of bed.
"Hold on, missy," Mommy says.
"Yeah! Hold on, missy!" I say repeating Mommy.
"Maybe you should get some rest, you look like you could use it," Mommy says. Mama sighs deeply.
"Today really isn't a good day to take off. I gotta go grocery shopping, then I gotta go to the bank and then take Leo to Big Kidz for diapers," Mama says.
"Well you're sick. So I think Leo and I can handle it, what do you think? Wanna be Mommy's little helper?" Mommy asks me. I nod my head excitedly and crawl on Mama's lap.
"Please say yes! Pretty please!" I beg. Mama pulls me into hug before saying yes. I run out of the room and get my green converse on.
"I'm ready!" I yell. Mommy and I get in the car and go to the bank. When we're there we make a withdrawl! Mommy taught me that means taking out money.
"Mommy look!" I say pointing to a little glass bowl of suckers. Mommy smiles and grabs one for me.
"Don't tell mama," she whispers. We get back in the car and go grocery shopping. Mommy makes me hold her hand while we're in the parking lot.
