Soft Boy

Movie Night

   "Hmpf," I pout. I'm sitting in my playroom by myself.  Mama and Mommy are in the living room watching boring adult stuffs. I've been a good boy and played with my toys, but I want attention! 

   "I'll get into my jammies!" I say excitedly. I open my closet and see all my options, there's so many! Looking through my closet I see my Mike Wazowski kigurumi! It looks so comfy I pick it right away. I put it on after getting into a fresh pullup!

   "Now what paci?" I ask myself. My paci jar has tons of them! I know I want a green one so I pick my dino modded paci. I plop it into my mouth and giggle, I love my modded pacis! After I grab my favorite stuffie I go to the kitchen.

   "I'll get myself a sippy!" I whisper. I grab my green sippy and fill it with lemonade.

   "Leo, what you up to?" Mama asks from the living room. I shuffle over there and shrug my shoulders.

   "Movie night?" I ask. Mama looks at Mommy.

   "That sounds so much fun!" Mommy says. I squeal and wiggle between them on the couch. Mama doesn't ask what I wanna watch, she can already tell! 

   "Mama make popcorn?" I ask giving her puppy dog eyes. She smiles at me then ruffles my hair.

   "Anything for my little prince," she says then going to the kitchen. Mama likes to pop her popcorn on the stove so it takes awhile, but it's so yummy! I cozy up to Mommy while we watch the beginning of Monsters Inc. 

   "Here's the popcorn!" Mama says bringing out a big bowl. She sits next to me and let's me hold the bowl! We all eat and watch.

   "Boo!" I say when it's been quiet for far too long. Mommy laughs.

   "Are you like Boo, baby?" she asks I nod my head and take a drink out of my sippy.

   "I'm a Boo boy!" I say happily. I cuddle between my mommies and soon enough the popcorn is gone and the movie ends. Mama tells me it's time for my bedtime routine but I don't wanna!

   "No bathie!" I say stomping my foot. I cross my arms so Mama knows this is serious business.

   "C'mon now, don't you want a sticker on your chart?" Mommy asks me. I look at my sticker chart and then back at Mommy. And then I look at Mama. They both look super serious.

   "Bath time!" I say skipping down the hall and to the bathroom. Mommy follows behind me and gives me a bath! She lets me use bubble bath and a sparkly green bath bomb.

   "Look at my ducky!" I say proudly! I give it a squeeze and he quacks! That's when I decide to be Mommy's little duck!

   "Quack!" I say giving her a splash. Mommy squeals as the water hits her. This makes me giggle and splash her again.

   "No splashing, little duck!" she says. I give her a big pout to tell her I don't agree. I wanna splash her! Before I can Mommy starts washing my hair and I'm forced to sit still. 

   "See, isn't it more fun to be good?" Mommy asks with a laugh. I wanna tell her no but I stay quiet. Soon bathtime is over and Mommy is drying me off with a fluffy towel.  She brings me back to the nursery and Mama puts me in an ABU space diap and then back in my Mike Wazowski onesie.

   "All comfy cozy!" She says kissing my cheek.  Mommy comes in with a bottle so I know it's bedtime. I rub my eyes and yawn.

   "It's definitely nini time," Mommy says. I get cozy in my crib and Mommy feeds me the bottle while Mama reads a bedtime story. When the story is over Mommy turns on the mobile and my nightlight.

   "Goodnight, dino," she says kissing my forehead then turning off the light.

   Once we say goodnight to Leo we have work to do. Being a carer is a lot of not so fabulous work. I do the dishes while Kaya cleans up the living room. Leo's toys are everywhere! I turn my attention back to loading the dishwasher, eventually getting lost in thought again.

   "All done!" Kaya's sweet voice whispers. She tries to hard not to wake Leo. When I finish the dishes I bring her into Leo and I's bedroom and to watch a movie in bed. To me it didn't matter the movie, I'm just glad she is with me. With us.

   "So a few days ago Leo and I were talking, and he said any time you wanna spend the night you can," I say carefully. I'm not exactly nervous it's just once I say it I can't take it back. This is a big step, and this me and Leo's bed. Kaya's my girl, I'm totally into her. Kaya and I connect on a level that Leo and I don't, same can be said for me and Leo. There are things Kaya won't understand about us. Leo's my fiance, my love, my whole world. If Leo puts the breaks on this so do I.

   "Wait, what?" Kaya asks, my statement clearly catching her off guard.

   "I talked to Leo, stay with us," I say rubbing my thumb on the back of her hand.

   "Okay," she whispers laying her head on my shoulder. When the movie is over I throw her one of my T-shirts. It's big on her which makes me chuckle. When we finally get in bed I realize how perfectly she fits in my arms. We both fall asleep quickly.
