Chapter Twenty Four: His Love Can't Catch a Break

Allura POV

I am meeting my siblings at a cafe. I am slightly nervous I haven't seen them since my grandma's funeral, and haven't had full blown conversation with them in about three years. I got a new car yesterday. I got an 2014 white volkswagen beetle.  I was planning on getting a different car, but I just love these cars so much. Once I pulled up to the cafe I grabbed my bag, and got out the car. It is the beginning of November and its is freezing up here. I walked in and spotted my siblings sitting in the back of the restaurant. As I move closer I seen a bump coming from my sister's stomach. I put my hands over my mouth.  "Hi, how are you guys?" I hugged both of them.

"I'm good." Ashlyn responded.

"I'm doing fine." Ashton replied. "How are you?"

"I'm great." I smiled.

"What are you having?" I asked her sitting down.

"I'm having a baby girl." she rubbed her tummy.

"We first want to start off by apologizing for not being there for you. Also for letting mom fill our head up with lies." Ashton said.

"What you mean mom filled y'all heads up with lies?"I asked.

"Well mom would come, and visit every two weeks. She was always telling us you, and grandma mom didn't want anything to do with us." He said.

"And why would y'all believe her when she was never there for us?"

"Because every time we would call you, or grandma never answered."

"We never got a call from either one of you. I honestly think mom must have block y'all from calling us. You know she known for doing some crazy ass shit." I shook my head.

"Yeah we know that's why we came down to see you. We apologize for neglecting you. Mom confessed everything to us after we got into a huge fight. I had to get a restraining order on her." Ashlyn sighed.

"Why?" I asked taken back.

"She had the fucking the nerve to threaten me, and my child." She said with disgusted.

"Wow never would've thought she would've stoop so low. But enough about her. Well what else is going in you guys life?"

Not only am I pregnant I'm just got engaged last month." She said holding up her hand.

"Who you got engaged to?"

"Josh." She said they've been together since undergrad.

"I just finished my masters degree in Engineering. I just got into a relationship with Tierra." Tierra has been his best friend since high school.

"Y'all finally realize y'all were in love with each other." I told him.

"What's been going on with you lil sis?" Ashton asked.

"Well I'm in school to get my master for Acting. I just got into a relationship with a guy named Nathan. He is close friend of Jayda's, and Tymir's. I was in a bad car accident a few weeks ago but I'm fine now."

"You sure you good?" Ashlyn asked.

"Yeah I'm fine I just lost my car, but other than that I'm good."

"Well we have your gifts from your birthday in the car." Ashton said.

"Thank you." we continued to talk, and catch up. This conversation was well needed. They will be in town for two weeks. Our grandma would be so proud us. After leaving them I went to my favorite Jamaican restaurant. I was still hungry.
