Jin Seon Mi is socially awkward.

Well, very socially awkward.

She's been basically an outcast since she was in high school. Having friends never became easy for her, She would have friends but eventually they would go away because they'd think that she was a freak.

You see, Jin Seon Mi was an introvert since birth . She had been homeschooled and pampered all her life until she became an orphan when she turned 10. It was a devastating time for her that she did not speak for a whole year clearly traumatized by what happened. She had to go to a public high school for the very first time in her life and she did not know anything of it. Everyone knew each other's names and they all shared childhood stories which Seon Mi could never relate.

That's why she kept her head down for the most part of high school, graduated with honors but with no friends. Seon Mi was okay though, for her it was better to have no friends because they'd eventually leave. No one ever learnt to stay.

Jin Seon Mi had her parent's college fund saved up for her so she was able to get into a good university in the city of Seoul. University of Seoul majoring in Visual Arts.

She learnt to paint when she was a lot younger, it started out as a lesson then became a hobby and eventually her passion. When she had neither family nor friends, all she had was her art.

It was already the second half of the first semester and Jin Seon Mi was holding up well in studies, not much in the social side but that was never an issue. To her at least.

"Now during the Elizabethan period, It was Shakespere's stories and plays that had become the main source of entertainment-"

Jin Seon Mi was busily writing her notes as she listened to the lecturer, Sa Oh Jeong which was by far her favorite lecturers in the whole university. He was gentle, kind and really the only one who ever pays any attention to her.

She dropped her pen as soon as she heard a loud bang in the lecture room, she turned to look to her right to see an unfamiliar student enter the room.

The new student who was male was panting heavily as if he ran a mile to get to the room. He was not a student in the class though as she had never seen him before.

"Ah. Son Oh Gong, so glad that you have showered us in your presence." Professor Oh Jeong said.

The male student took a deep breath and sighed, "So sorry professor Oh Jeong, I'm late."

He handed out a form to the professor who scanned the page, he nodded and gave it back to the student.

"Oh so you are now taking my English Lit class, huh? . Good to have you on board with us. Just take a seat."

Son Oh Gong smiled and Jin Seon Mi could not help but compliment how nice his smile was. His face automatically brightened up the whole room.

"Omo, he is so cute!" she heard one girl giggled which was followed by multiple giggles mostly by female students.

"Id definitely attend this class from now on!"

Jin Seon Mi tried not to roll her eyes at their squeals. From her peripheral vision, she sees him sit at the other side of the room which did not come as a surprise to her. She was the only one sitting in her aisle.
