Jin Seon Mi has always believed in love. She strives for it. For her it was like a drug that she needed in her life and without it, she was nothing. She had always envisioned that perfect love story just like how her parents had before they had passed away. Jin Seon Mi could still remember both their smiles and how they looked at each other with so much love.

She wanted that badly so she went and looked for it and she had found it.

With Son Oh Gong.

It was ten years ago when she first met him in college, he was in her art class. He was a major klutz. Jin Seon Mi did not like him at all in the beginning. He would annoy her constantly so when he had asked her to go out with him, she declined his offer. But Son Oh Gong was persistent and would not take no for an answer until she finally just gave in.

And then everything started from there, she saw something in him that she had never seen before and soon they both fell In love. Son Oh Gong made her feel things that she had never felt before and they both made each other insanely happy.

They became each other's shelter and haven, each other's first love and first serious relationship. Right after college, they both moved in together in their first ever apartment. They both built their dreams together promising that they will be each other's rock. Son Oh Gong was aspiring to become an architect and Jin Seon Mi was a freelance artist.

Of course, their relationships had their ups and downs. They would even break up numerous of times but they'd always end up right back in each other's arms because they could take not being together. Seven years later, he proposed to her and she said yes.

This is what Jin Seon Mi wanted. This kind of love. The love that was worth fighting for.

But now, ten years later, she was losing that love.

She was losing Son Oh Gong and it was breaking her heart.

She looked so forlorn and it was breaking his heart but he knew he needed to do this.

He needed this. They both needed this.

"Let's break up."

Jin Seon Mi suddenly felt as if she was drowning and she could not breathe. She was at their apartment when Son Oh Gong texted her that he will be home a little early and that they needed "to talk". She never really thought much of it because she had always thought that they would never get to this point.

She stuttered, still in disbelief, "W-What?"

Son Oh Gong closed his eyes shut, this was hurting him more than anything else but there was not better way to do this. He had to end it. It wasn't like he does not love her anymore, it's the fact that he really does and will always do but it was no longer enough to stay in a relationship.

She deserves so much more than what he was giving her. So much more

He took a breath, his chest like it was constricted, and held both her hands tightly, "We need to break up."

Jin Seon Mi stilled as she felt her heart slowly shattering into a million pieces, her mind was reeling and her heart was pounding so much, she felt like she was going to have a heart attack.

No. No. No. This can't be happening

So she did what most insane women would do, she laughed. "Oh God. For a minute there you had me! That was a good one."
