Nolan lay on his black leather sofa as he could only laugh his ass off, his cell laying on the scarlet colored carpet in everything time he would breathe, he could only laugh as tears leaked from his onyx eyes in the nose Conner had called him on this late at night.

Of all things, this was one he would have never seen coming in nearly a million years. Just it was not the way to out of the book not to be funny as Conner on the other end just waited for his friend to stop laughing like a jackass on acid.

Which now the laughing was going on nearly five mins by his watch in looking at the time. "HEY ASSHOLE! YOU DONE YET?"

Conner yelled.

Nolan only took a few gasps of air to get his body back to a normal pace. "Maybe, depends on what else you say, Conner! I mean really, you take a job from the very woman you have been trying to avoid!"

Rolling his eyes, he took a deep drink of his beer, "Can you do the damn spell or not?"

On the other end, the warlock pushed back his long bangs from his head in a sweep of a hand instilling trying not to laugh in the whole set up of the situation that Conner MckCreed had gotten himself into. Part of him, the joker found amusement in this, while the friend part was breaking this down. For some time, Nolan had on and off for years pushed Conner to get involved with wolves. To embrace his inner wolf soul and move on and heal from his past in what happened to his pack those years ago.

So could this be the ripple in the pond that Conner needed to move on with his life! Just how to play this hand he had been given?

"Ok, I'll do Conner, but you have to take this job in for a trade with me working this spell." Nolan's tone hardens just a bit.

Blinking, the handyman felt his jaw tighten in all thoughts of turning her down was the plan. So what was Nolan's place in this sudden turn of events? Conner let all words dye in his mouth in feeling that bitter taste in the back of his tongue in what this would mean. Interaction with members of his kind he had been trying to avoid most of his life.

"Fine."

Hanging up the phone in the rush of anger with giving the warlock a chance to speak. Hearing the dead end, Nolan only let his head fullback to the pillow and looked at the book he had been reading. Conner had a temper he showed in acting childish like this, he had been that way from their first days of friendship.

"You need this buddy...."Nolan thought, closing his eyes for a nap.

Brier streached out in her bed, loving the soft cotton feel on her skin. Smelling the dew fading as the sun rose over the forest, birds singing to the day and the movement of her pack waking up. It made it feel like a home with a lot more work to do.

Moving up, she could smell the coffee in the shared kitchen given also Rachal was the early bird in the pack. Slowly sitting up and licking her lips. Her hair had been braided to keep the monster at bay. "I think I'll take a nice morning run this morning! Been a while on my last shift! "

Feeling giddy, the Luna bounced up in pulling back her sheets and making her way to the kitchen as also smells of bacon and fried eggs only made her inner wolf growl for food all the more! Turning the kitchen, the slight smoky scent of the wood stove made her smile in seeing Max's dyed blue hair cut short a little messy.

Max was as some titled him, the mamma bird of the pack while Sunny was the joker and also after Rachal, the head enforcer of the pack. Max and Sunny had been mated nearly five years and openly gay from the get go! Some packs looked down on wolves who didn't go the straight path, which Brier didn't care, nor her dad. Long as her pack was safe and happy!

Max had a was a mix if American-Korea and white, being raised by his mother who had been human in the pack. He was also their cook in making the kitchen his in the first days of the move to the Den House.

Smiling, his brown eyes sparkled in the soft humor of her bounce in just flipping an egg and his lean form moving in a dancer grace. Long pianist fingers moved in handing her a cup of coffee with triple the sugar and cream. "Morning my lovely Luna."

Blushing, Max had that type of smile that would make any living being just want to claim that moment. "Morning Max! I was thinking of a pack run after food!"

Nodding, his silk voice hummed a little before speaking. "I think its a good idea. Just remember you got that meeting with Conner MckCreed also! I will say he is easy on the eyes by the way!"

Sipping her coffee, she paused in hearing this little bit of information. "Oh? Does he have the Max stamp of good looking? Don't tell Sunny that!"

Laughing in a donkey bray, he blushed in the shout to his mate. "He think's he is cute too!"

Brier only rolled her eyes. Max only shook his head as she nearly bounced out of the kitchen for to get everyone together as he kept to his cooking and feeling his mate now just waking in their small apartment at the top of the house. Still in the thoughts related to Conner.

"He kinda did smell like one of us now that I think about it..."
