Part 11

"Hunters?" Sunny said, feeling his back tighten and Max's hand coming to grasp his.

Max could only watch the thick jaw of his mate tighten after their Luna spoke, explaining what her father had told her. "Yes, they don't know where they are now, but we need to a vote."

Rachal looked, sitting on a stool she had brought in from the kitchen as the Evergreen Pack gathered to hear what their Luna had to say. Keeping calm and steady in her words and body to keep the pack more centered. Still, the air grew tense as the members looked at the other, a few eyes flashing amber as their wolves stirred in their souls in the roll of strong emotions pulling them to shift. Brier kept them calm using the Alpha bound and pulled their energy to herself to release it back and channel it back into the earth during the meeting.

Judy licked her lips, musing over the words of their Luna, "A vote to stay or go you mean back to the main pack?"

Nodding, Brier looked in feeling her lips tighten. "My dad wants us to come back, for now, to keep us safe."

Max laughed, sounding hollow in their ears. "I vote we stay, I'm not running away now that this place feels like "ours" Brier. We worked too hard to even leave in the first place. And I don' really want to deal with my parents."

Rachal nodded, "I feel the same as Max. This is our place and I saw we fight to stay!"

"I vote we go." Abel husky tone stated. "We can always come back, it's not like we are giving up being a pack or losing Brier as our Luna. Leaving is not showing weakness also, its a chance as a bigger group we could take down the Saw family for good.

Rachal shot the older wolf a confused look, yet he spoke an open blunt truth. Werewolves packs for a while, for nearly six generations, had wanted to take down the Saw family in its ruthless hunting of their kind. So many killed, their names lost in a deadly game.

Molly looked at Abel, thinking of the others and biting her plump lips. "I think Abel is right, we should retreat and come back. The Saw family goes after small clans and family's, they never go after the big packs. If your father calls in his allies, we could take them down for once and all."

Brier passed a glance to Sunny, his eyes lost in thoughts in passing to look at the last member of her pack. Emma was a small thing, bearly she had turned 18 the season before. Thick blond hair in a braid down her back and her doll-like face was tense like the others. She had left due to her parents arrange a mating with a man she didn't know some other pack. Joining the Evergreen was her only way out and claiming her adulthood after the challenge to be seen as a full member of the pack also that same season.

Emma had proven to be a fighter, skilled and using her small size to take down wolves bigger than her. She had the makings to be a good Beta once she got older and Rachal had taken the girl under her wing so to speak once the new pack had been born.

"I say we stay. Us all leaving sends out a red flare to any hunters in our actions that a wolf pack is here. All the more in a small town, now that they have gotten to know and see us around will make them ask questions. " Emma stated, her mind pathing in her reasons. "So if they are looking around, it will make them focus on us more. And we are not the only supernatural in Bricker, I saw we make an alliance call and see who shows up. Tell them what has happened and see if we can help the other out."

Brier and the rest of pack looked at the teenager, glancing at the other and feeling some things shift in their mind. " Emma, you just made my day! I don't even think about that!"

Blushing, she lowered her eyes as her ears turned red in the praise of her Luna and smile. "You're welcome my Luna...."

Smiling, Brier looked at her small back with a fiery smile now her face. "Well, shall we do that?"

The vote was an overall yes as the Evergreen Pack got ready to fight for the home they had made!

Across town, Nolan felt his gut twist in holding the phone steady. "Are you sure mom?"

"Yes Nol, the Crimson Alpha let everyone know. The Saw family is once more on the hunt. I call you right after your Tammy called me, given she is mated to a wolf. Every supernatural is on high alert son. I think you grab Conner and come stay at my house for now, till things cool down." Ruth said.

Shaking his head, the warlock felt his mind go blank in thinking. "No, if I tell Conner, he'll go after the Saw family ma, they killed his pack in the first place. And we have local wolf pack now moved into Bricker. I'm going to talk to their Luna and Beta and see if they might do an alliance of sorts. Conner needs this too."

Ruth felt worried flood her soul for her blood son and the wolf one she had adopted into her heart. "Ok, but if things get out of the hand, you call us! "

"Ok, love you."

Haning up, Nolan felt sweat make his shirt cling to his back. "We're fucked..."

Note: Ok chapter 11 is done! OMG! This is more of a between chapter before I lay out something BIGGER in action in the next one! I will say you might get some death a bit, just who will it be.....?
