ch. 13

Today was day six of shooting, and everything had been going... smoothly. Me and Cole were forced to say that our relationship was a 'big prank for publicity', which made us seem like douches and I hated it. I absolutely hated it. 

At least everyone believed us. 

Lili had been getting more touchy ever since she found out the relationship 'wasn't real', and had already started making moves on me.

"KJ, I was uh wondering if you wanted to go on a double date with me, Madelaine, and her boyfriend?" She asked, fluttering her eyelashes. Cole looked up from his phone, sitting near us in a director's chair. He eyed her with a glare, eyes saying "if you touch him I'll have to kill you."

"Oh uh.. I'll have to see if I'm busy or not." I said, giving her a small smile. Cole scoffed and rolled his eyes at me.

"Is there something wrong Cole?" She asked him, hands on her hips.

"No, just uh, I was kind of hoping to make a move on you." He said with a straight face. 

"Oh... well I-I don't know... I like you both." 

"I CALL DIBS ON KJ." I heard Casey yell, as he ran into the room. giving me and Cole a hug.

"Okay then. It's settled. I have Cole and you have KJ." She said smiling, as if we even agreed to this.

"Uh guys, we aren't toys. You should ask us if we even want to go out with you." Cole said, standing up and walking over to me. "But of course, we'd love to. Now uh, our manager wants us." Cole said with a smile as he dragged me into the room Alicia was in.

"Alicia how much longer do we have to pretend to like this girl?" Cole whisper-shouted, an aggressive tone overtaking him.

"Guys, you don't have to actually date anyone. Cole, I've decided to pay Lili to be your beard, and Kj you can stay 'single', it'll help with gaining more fans." Alicia said, trying to relive us.

"A beard? Do I really need one?" Cole said, peering through the small window in the office that showed Lili, Casey, and Camila practicing lines.

"Yes, or else people won't believe you've never actually dated. Oh, before you go- Riverdale Episode One airs tomorrow night at 8:00." 

"Fine. We'll be watching it in my apartment together." I sighed, giving Cole a chaste peck on the cheek.

"No, Cole needs to be seen with Lili. Lili is going to your apartment Cole, along with Casey and Camila. That's the done deal, no arguments. Now get out, I'm tired of the whining." She said, shooing us off.

"Well great, now I can't even be with you tomorrow." I sighed, looking down at Cole's hands, wanting to hold them in mine, but I couldn't.

When Riverdale Episode One was about to air, I sat down and turned on the TV, upset but excited that I was going to be on TV.

I picked up my phone and swiped into the chat, seeing the picture of them all.

babyb: having fun! miss you x

kjxx: miss you too love x

babyb: totally didn't sneak off to the bathroom just so I could text you

kjxx: haha, how's the party?

babyb: boring... Lili is all over me. I can't even focus on the episode without her trying to touch my arm 

kjxx: awh i'm sorry, i'll be over after they all leave tho. x

babyb: okayy (:

I out down my phone, and continued watching the show after the commercial break ended. 

"Remember, this season is sponsored by: Covergirl." The TV echoed, as I laughed. Covergirl, maybe that's a photoshoot I should try out for next.
