ch. 15

"Summer is here, and the ocean is calling my name!" Cole yelled, running around the house frantically as he searched for his black sunglasses and purple sunscreen.

Today we were heading to the beach with the cast to celebrate the show doing so good, and just as a way to let loose.

"Cole hurry up! I don't have all day to watch you look for your vegan sunscreen, just use the regular one." I called out, scoffing and walking over to the two security guards who stood by the door. It's been a month since we had any threats, but it still hurt knowing that Lili and Cole had to pretend to date.

"Found them." Cole said with a laugh, kissing my cheek as the guards led us down stairs and to the limo.

"Excited for the beach?" I asked, taking Cole's hand and kissing it gently, looking into his eyes that smiled so brightly at the mention of the beach.

"Excited is an understatement, I'm so pumped babe. Gonna ride some waves today I think."

"I'd rather you ride this dick but sure." I said, taking a sip of my beer. He scoffed and punched my shoulder, then resting his head on it.

"We're here!" Cole jumped up and out of the limo, running over to Lili and the gang while I went around to help the two guards with our beach things. I grabbed the towels and things while they grabbed out food and chairs, and we all made our way down to the beach.

It was going to be a good day, as I set up the towels and chairs and umbrellas.

"KJ ba- look!" Cole stopped himself before he could say baby, cheeks blushing profusely. He showed off his surfboard.

"Me and Casey are gonna hit some waves, you can chill with Cami and Lili and after I'll come and I can feed you grapes or something." I waved him off with a bright smile, taking out some fruit to eat as I lay back on my towel.

"Finally, peace and quiet." I said. Camila and Lili walked over and sat with me, gossip practically drooling from their smirks. They talked about how the other boys were so hard to handle, their makeup problems, and their dating problems.

"Isn't Cole so cute though? Gosh I have the biggest crush on him." Lili blurted out, as I looked over and tilted my sunglasses down.

"Doesn't everyone?" I replied cooly, laying back down.

"I mean yeah- but I'm gonna claim him as mine. He has to be." Lili spilled, shoving more grapes into her mouth as Camila laughed. I looked over at the ocean, Cole and Casey attempting to surf but failing miserably.

"Hey KJ I don't mean to pry but, what was that scandal with Cole? Did you guys actually date and break up or is it like the news said- just a big publicity thing." Camila asked, cocking her head to the side like a confused dog.

"Publicity, and I'm not getting into it thanks." I said, brushing her off quickly. She tried apologizing, but I quickly stood up and walked over to the water.

The water was cool, glistening in the sun as the waves crashed down by my feet, toes tingling. It foamed around my feet, then pulled back and crashed down again- and then there was a splash.

"Lili what the-"

"Water fight!" She yelled, Camila and her spraying me with water guns as I ran away to go get one of my own. Cole and Casey came onto shore and grabbed water guns as well, spraying us and two teams quickly forming.

"Take cover!" Lili yelled, taking my side along with Casey, as Cole, Camila, and Charles took their own team. I charged in, shooting the water straight at Cole as he charged at me. Lili had my back and quickly sprayed back at Cole as well, who was backed up by Charles as he came in and sprayed Lili and Casey.

"I surrender!" I yelled, as everyone began ganging up on me. "I surrender!" I yelled again, running to the water and jumping into a wave, the coolness hitting my skin with a slight sting.

Everyone laughed and dropped their water guns, jumping into the water as well. It was nice, seeing us all having fun together.

"KJ I'm getting my paddle-board, you joining me?" I nodded, Cole quickly swimming and then running to get the big paddle-board.

"Can I come too?" Lili yelled, attempting to join in on the fun, but Cole shot her down as he only motioned for me to come on.

We began paddling away from everyone, until we paddled away and behind some rocks so  we were alone.

"So where were we?" He said, putting down his paddle and turning around.

"I don't know, where were we?"

"I think we left off with this." Cole said, lips attaching to mine. My hand went up to his cheek, cupping it and bringing him closer, tongue swirling around his bottom lip as I gained entrance and explored his mouth.

Cole scooted closer, hands on my hips as he lay back on the paddle-board, rocking it a bit.

"Weirdest place we've ever done it is definitely going to be right on this thing."

"Hmm yeah? Then let's do it." He panted, bringing me down on him again, as I grinded down on him and kissed him roughly- and then my phone buzzed.

"F-fuck." I muttered, pulling it out of my pocket and looking through the water protective case.

I looked at the picture and laughed, showing Cole as I got a text from the groupchat, asking us where we went.

"I think that means we have to head back." I sighed, picking up a paddle.

"Oh shit- fuck." I said, tilting Cole's head as I saw the hickies I had created.

"What are we gonna do?" I panicked.

"It's nothing, I got bit by a seagull." He laughed, and picked up his paddle as we headed back to the group.

"Where'd you guys go? And Cole your neck!"

"We tried getting food but the seagull did not like Cole." I quickly said, cheeks redenning as I grabbed my towel and started packing up our things.

"Yup- gotta hate those things. But listen we really have to go- it was great chilling with you guys. So uh yeah.. see you later!" Cole said, quickly running to the limo and getting inside. I ran right behind him, lips quickly connecting to his once I closed the door.

"F-fuck we gonna make it to the apartment?"

"Definitely not."

Y'all ask for updates so often and i have chapters pre-written so i always just sit and think 'hmmm should i?' haha cause i don't like releasing more than 2 a month- but since its July 1st here you go!!

* updates might be slow bc i have work and am currently on vacation... and i have something else in the works rn ;)
