ch. 25

*archie goes home to the house being broken into by the stalker AGAIN
*cole comes home from a business trip and thinks he knows who it is
*cole apologizes for being weird

It was weird and uncomfortable waking up with no one beside me. I took my phone and opened it up, texting Cole to tell him to have a good day and to be safe on his flight today.
He was going on a business trip for some photography agencies. There were meetings being held in Toronto, so that's where he was headed.

Shooting for Riverdale still went on, we just had to work around Cole being gone for three days. When I got to set later that day, I ended up having breakfast with Casey and Lili. They treated me to some Panera Bread.

"Hey KJ, how was Cole's flight?" Casey asked as we were enjoying our meals.

"Good, he landed half an hour ago and checked into his hotel. Our security team has eyes on him always and keeps me updated. With all this stalker bullshît we really can't be sorry." I replied, giving Lili a smile.

"Yeah I get that, and it sucks. You know, I had a stalking incident a few years ago." Lili started up.

"Oh, really? Man that's horrible... what happened?" Casey asked her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"It was at the time. I wasn't really well known or didn't have a good paying job so I really only had the police unlike you and Cole, KJ." She said, taking a sip of her drink and pausing for a moment to think.

"It was a guy. When they finally caught him I recognized him as my barista in this coffee shop I always went to with my mom when she visited. He always left notes and took pictures of me. He even went on to leave 'gifts'. Anyways it was scary and crazy."

"Wow Lili I'm so sorry." I said to her, reaching a hand out to grab hers. She gave me a small smile of gratitude.

After cleaning up and paying for the meal we left the place and quickly got back to set. On the way there Lili had invited me over for dinner.

"I don't want you to be alone tonight KJ. Cole wouldn't either, trust me." She said, rubbing my arm with her hand and giving me pouty eyes.

"Yeah sure, you can come over. I'm sure Cole wouldn't mind, and I don't have anything planned anyways." I said reluctantly.

"Great! I'll see you at 8 tonight then."

Later that night Lili arrived at KJ's house. They hung out for a while, everything seemingly normal. It was actually quite enjoyable for KJ. He got to spend some time with Lili, getting to know her better. After the time they spent he realized she really was just a sweet person who never meant any harm. She just wanted some company, was all.

KJ had gotten up and went to the store down the block quickly to grab them ice cream, since there was none left at home. Upon his return, Lili was gone. The door was left unlocked and she wasn't anywhere in sight. KJ thought nothing of it and decided that she probably just had to go home for some reason. Except.. there was something off. 

Cole's keys had been placed on the counter, indicating he had returned home earlier than expected. KJ shouted out his name but, no response. He began looking around the house, no clues showing that Cole was anywhere inside. His shoes were placed by the door, his coat hung on the rack. Where was he? 

KJ took out his phone to give him a call, and soon enough the tone of his voicemail box rung through his ears. 

Hey this is Cole, I'm out right now so leave a message, thank you.

"Hey baby... I saw that your stuff is here but you aren't, obviously. Are you okay? Please let me know, it's not safe for you to be out alone. Come home soon, I love you."

Those are the last words that would be said to Cole for a while.

Hi!! I have no clue if anyone even remembers this story or is actively reading it, but I'm so sorry for not updating. I am not apart of the fandom, nor do I keep up with any of the riverdale cast members or the show, so I will not be making any more stories concerning them. I will, however, finish this story like I planned to originally, and any of my other ongoing stories as to make sure everyone is happy. Thank you all for the support and love, it has meant a lot to me :) I hope to get back into creative writing soon, and hopefully make more fanfics of shows that I am interested in!
